SEASAC Gymnastics

Two days of competition for our students at SEASAC Gymnastics last weekend yielded some fantastic performances and results. Amongst the medalists, Connor (7Rb) had a standout competition on both days taking home 3rd Individual All-Around. A new award this year: the certificate of elegance which recognises impressive performance across all apparatus was awarded to Manolo (7Wx). Chiara (10Wn) was another outstanding performer in the Level 7 competition, with 2nd on Vault and 2nd on Beam in her first competition of the year. Well done to all gymnasts who competed so well in a high standard of competition.

Junior House Swim Gala

167 Merlions competed at the inaugural Junior House Gala. Portsdown was the overall winner, with Wessex claiming top spot in the exciting 6 x 50m Squadron Relay. A big thank you to all staff, parents and swimmers for putting on a great spectacle! Many of the swimmers will be representing the Merlions team at Junior SEASAC and Junior School ACSIS Championships in Term 3.

Junior Sports Days

Our Junior children have been demonstrating their athletic talents at Sports Days throughout week 11, continuing into week 12. Competing for their Houses, students have been racking up the tokens, awarded for their performances in throwing, tug of war, sprinting, and relay events.

Middle School House Sport

Year 7 and 9 students have represented their House in football, basketball and badminton tournaments this week. With Year 8 wrapping up the series on Friday, these friendly competitions have been a great to wrap up the sport lessons which have run throughout Term 2.

SEASAC Badminton Decider!

Fresh off the back of their SEASAC win in KL, Tanglin boys played UWCD, themselves SEASAC winners in Ho Chi Minh. In what was billed as a 'SEASAC Decider', Tanglin boys triumphed 4-1. We are absolutely delighted with this fantastic achievement, a brilliant effort by all the boys and coaches. 27
