WELCOME TO THE "SHE'S GOT THE LOOK" SALE Welcome all,
I’ve been trying to find the words to illustrate the prosperous times in the beef industry, but it is simply irresistible. Being part of the agricultural world and experiencing such optimism during these times will make memories for years to come. The future looks even stronger and the cattle market is at record levels. The demand for top quality genetics will certainly pay huge dividends. Added growth, sustainable maternal strength, structural correctness, and genetic purity and consistency are key components of successful breeding programs. In 2011, Shane Michelson asked me when we were going to have a female production sale. We have traditionally, sold a select number of elite lots in a sale or two in the fall, with the majority of the females marketed through our annual bull sale. Well, the time has come and after significant planning over the last three years, December 10, 2014 marks the day. The breds are stout!Nearly all of the breds were never exposed and only AI bred to our exclusive sire battery. With our multiple calving windows, we are able to demonstrate adding a couple months of age, developed slowly, results in females that are more mature and suited to high end production.
With a select group of fall born opens, this gives the buyer the option of doing the same. The 2014 heifer calves are plucked right out of the ET program and/or from top cows in the program. The genetic variance of pedigree is sure to suit every buyer. These fine ladies have “the look” and cow families to back up the beauty. This is the progeny and service debut for SVS Captain Morgan 11Z!!! Purchase with confidence. He is proving, as the most potent purebred breeding sire, the breed has ever known, based off of the progeny in multiple herds. Terms & Conditions Terms
The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.
Certificate of Registration
Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Simmental Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.
Health
All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.
Guarantee
Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Simmental Association with regards to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness.
Liabilities
All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may, in exceptional cases, be taken must be between the buyer and the seller. T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assumes no responsibility for any credit extended by the seller to the buyer. The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder.
Delivery
Every assistance will be given in getting your purchases home. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.

All serviceable age females have been pregnancy examined by an accredited veterinarian, giving an estimated length of gestation. This estimated gestation period shall be used only as a guideline to calving and is not a guarantee of actual service.

In February, we offered for the first time SimAngus females in our sale. They were extremely well received and in high demand. This set of females are all Fall born open heifers. The blacks are sired by our GCC Total Recall “Soul Train” walking herdsire that was purchased from Griswold Cattle Company of Oklahoma for $15,000. He puts his mark on every calf and what a set of bulls in the fall bull pen. They are out of first calf Fleckvieh dams as well. The reds are sired by Juggernaut or Metropolis on Red Angus cows. What a set of replacement females they will be. Registration is possible as well, to use as foundation stock.

BW: 81 lbs. In 2012, we attended Sunset View Farms in Kentucky and selected in our opinion the top open female in their sale. The Antoinette P45 cow family has been very influential in the Simmental industry and Z614 was our selection of this cow family for $7200. The sale was in late April and we asked if they would breed her to SVF Allegiance, and she fortunately stuck on the first try. The resulting calf is a smoker! 513B is super thick, wicked fronted, wide based from end to end, and really cranked on the pounds off this first calf heifer. Her dam is everything we wanted. She has adapted extraordinarily well, bred right back even earlier and will likely enter our donor program in the future. This is the only female available sired by Allegiance in Canada, as the semen wasn’t able to be imported, though cataloged by Genex. Opportunity knocks, open the door!

BW: 88 lbs. In an effort to incorporate the Red Jewel 760 cow family, whom recently sold for $46,000.00, we purchased SS/PRS Jewel Y9S1, from Sanders in Kansas. She has not let us down. 514B is from the first flush which produced 3 calves by STF Royal Affair. We have retained one heifer [frozen ears] and will offer a stout red bull in February. Royal Affair is the service sire to most of the purebred heifers. We were lucky enough to partner to own part of the exclusive Canadian semen rights. Keep in mind that 514B is one of the youngest heifers in the sale but one of the most diverse pedigrees, with quality to back it up.
