Teresa Inge is an author in the Mutt Mysteries Series (To Fetch A Thief, To Fetch a Scoundrel, To Fetch a Villain, and To Fetch a Killer), Virginia is for Mysteries Series (volumes I, II, and III), 50 Shades of Cabernet, Coastal Crimes: Mysteries by the Sea, and Murder by the Glass. She is president of the Sisters in Crime, Mystery by the Sea chapter, a member of the Central Virginia chapter, Chessie chapter, Guppies chapter, Hampton Roads Writers, and Short Mystery Fiction Society.

Teresa grew up reading Nancy Drew mysteries. Combining her love of reading mysteries and writing professional articles led to writing short fiction, novellas, and novels. In January 2022, Thomas Kies was Edgar Award-nominated by the Mystery Writers of America specifically for the Sue Grafton Memorial Award for his book, Shadow Hill, his fourth novel in the Geneva Chase Mystery Series. His first book, Random Road, was given a starred review and was debut of the month in the Library Journal and named debut of the month. It sold out of its first hard copy printing before its launch date.
