Betsy Ashton, born in Washington, D.C., was raised in Southern California, where she ran wild with coyotes in the hills above Malibu. ALLIE MARIE Award-winning author Allie Marie grew up in Virginia, where her favorite childhood pastime was reading Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden mysteries.
