Pinchos celebrates 15th anniversary Two thousand nineteen marked 15 years of offering guests the ultimate in culinary pleasures at Pinchos Grill & Bar. And with charming hosts Robby V. Peterson and Anabela Peterson de Sousa at the helm as seasoned hoteliers and long-time restaurateurs, we’re sure they’ll be celebrating many more. Set upon a pier ablaze with twinkling lights over the sea, it’s one of the island’s most romantic dining locations, and their delectable grilled fusion dishes and superb signature drinks keep foodies coming back for more. It marked the first anniversary of a successful year serving up exciting cheese specialties as well as sweet and savory dishes along with an excellent selection of wines. Owners Torri and Donnie Schwentke are happy with their decision to leave their US home to open their dream business on Aruba and they have met many new friends and welcomed thousands of guests since. ABC Tours wins multiple awards Two thousand nineteen was a great year of well-deserved recognition for ABC Tours & Attractions. They ranked very high in the prestigious TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice “Best of the Caribbean Awards,” the only Aruban company that made the cut. Their Ultimate Jeep Safari Tour, an exciting combo of land and water adventures made No. 3, while their unique Blackstone Beach, Cliff Jump & Hidden Treasures Tour made No. 5. They also continue to hold the No. 1 spot for adventure on USA Today’s 10Best Aruba website. www.abc-aruba.com

Courtyard by Marriott Aruba Resort The Courtyard by Marriott opened their first resort-style property in the Caribbean and Latin America on the island of Aruba last December. Steps from famed Palm Beach, the $45 million investment created a gorgeous, modern stay of 148 rooms with a luxe water circuit and pool bar, a new spa and fitness center, and the Allegra Bistro for cosmopolitan dining. Managed by local industry expert Vicky Perez, it will set the quality standard for more resort-style Courtyard by Marriott properties to open elsewhere. www.courtyard.com

Balashi’s surprise brews In 2019, Balashi released the “B Sixty 2,” a cool limited-edition German pilsner named after its factory address and created by Aruba’s first master brewer, Eugene Flanegin, to celebrate their 20th anniversary. But no worries if you missed it, they’ll be brewing up more creative surprises this year too. Meanwhile, you can always enjoy their iconic brands of Balashi, Chill, and HopiStout, anytime. You can also take a factory tour to see how such excellent beer is made from desalinated seawater! www.balashibrewery.com 16 Nights
