April- May 2010

Hello Everybody! This updates is for both April and May, since we didn’t have too much going on. The schools just reopened two weeks ago after the summer break, but my school closed 4 days ago and I am now on my summer break! Fun! I spent this quiet period working on www.strongwillseed.org , which is really shaping up but it is moving at a very Chiang Mai speed! You can actually click the link to see what it looks like right now, although many adjustments have been made, just that the man who is doing this for us haven’t done it yet! However, I do really appreciate his help because when he (slowly) works, he really works with his heart and he gives us a hundred percent every time! As you already might have known, I just got a scholarship to a school called UWC in Hong Kong! Really excited about that! The school itself was founded by a German educationalist in England and there are 13 campuses around the world! The school is an IB system, each campus has people from all kinds of ethnicity, because the purpose of the school is to unite and create understanding between different nationalities through education.

But the most important fact for me is that- this school really supports students to do community service work! I am going to Hong Kong is August and I will be studying there for two years! I hope to learn a lot, so that I can come back and use what I learned to develop our project and Thailand further! For more information about the school: www.uwc.org or www.lpcuwc.edu.hk So, today is the fourth day of my summer break and I am planning on using my summer break to do the followings: 1. Complete the website! Definitely! 2. Develop Strong Will Seed Card Selling Baskets: This idea was suggested by Lung Joe Evans. The idea is, Strong Will Seed should have our cards sold in packs as well, for the people who would like to go sell them for us, and so that pack should fully come with a basket which can become a display and sign which tells the buyers who we are. 3. Complete my letter to the press: A few newspapers have kindly offered us a spot on their paper to promote our project, but I need to write to them first to properly introduce our project and give them brief background information. However, I am waiting until the website is complete to send these

letters out- because when the website is done, the readers will be able to support us by buying our cards online! If you happens to know somebody who works for the media or the press that would be interested in our story as well, please e-mail his/her e-mail address to me at admin@strongwillseed.org, because we would like to get as many as possible! Thanks! 4.

The Baan Hua Kuang Long Visit: I am planning on a long visit to Baan Hua Kuang sometime this break. I plan to stay there for around 4 days, to observe the villagers’ lives, and what they think about the school and everything!

Like a survey! 5. Strong Will Seed Video: During my time at Baan Hua Kuang, I plan to create a short “advertisement” for our cards! The clip would

explain what our project does and how the kids and everybody benefits from it, etc. Also really looking forward to this! Well- that is all for now, and please keep in mind that- you can easily support us right now by:
