SOFB- What makes you so good at riding fixed? ED- I guess the feeling of pushing something that alot of people are stoked about. SOFB- Tell us about the last two competitions you went to.

ED- They were super sick FGFS scene is popping off in europe.
SOFB- Could you describe the G.O.A.T. frame? It seems like it can take a beating.

ED- STREETS ALL DAY. SOFB- How do you get pumped to ride hard? ED- Good Tunes. SOFB- How do you set up your pedals before you get to an obstacle? ED- Its to hard to explain in words typed but i could teach anyone in person. SOFB- You inspire a lots of new riders what you will say to them ED- Keep riding,nothings impossible and i love fixed freestyle Im glad other people do as well. SOFB- How important is your crew? Do they get you stoked? ED- My crew is everything and everyone. Everyone gets me stoked.
SOFB- Tell us about your trip, where are you at the moment? ED- Ive been on tour for the last 15 days with Joey Krillz and ROCKY (Mike Schmitt).Right now Im in Hong Kong in a airport on a layover to Thailand ill be there for the next 6 days then Im heading home early due to radical radiation. Krillz and ROCKY will endure the radiation in Japan for 10 days after Thailand. SOFB- Last question; any shout outs? Its beginning of march. Together with Super Ted we decided to organise day of riding.. Early start, 9am at ST workshop we did have all riders and photographers. Staffed with bacon sandwiches and tea, direction setup on Abbey Woods. Mikey Kajak Oscar Cedric Super Ted and me rolling trough the city.. looking for spots.
First propa stop at roundabout spot under express road. Steep banks more like box - perfect place. Sun is coming out and every on is getting stoked on riding. After short ride stopping at park next to Thames barrier. Oscar and Super Ted dropping of big wall to grass bang.. Ted almost braking his back. Couple more small spots and we taking fairy to other side - Woolich.

Oscar and Mikey going crazy at the skate park. Small refuel and we on the set of Clockworks Orange, old estate with good spots. Starting to feel this distance in my legs and Abbey Woods on the way. STed knows a lot of good spots. After fair off road ride we are in right place. Plenty of jumps. Local Dirt Jumpers well surprised what guys can do on fixed bikes.

Good session in result which Mikey get bitten by snake tree. Finishing last Winter Wormer time to go back.. How.. I think on auto pilot. That was nice ride and I could feel it next couple days. Perfect way to wake up old mussels. Stay tune!! More riding to come.

Sir Hoy dominate competition the way you expect from World and Olympic Champion. World Sprint Champion Gregory Bauge demonstrate that he is not to bad at the Keirin as he made it trough along with Eddie Dawkinns of New Zealand. Kamil Kuczynski from Poland show true spirit on way to finals.

As only two riders cross the finish line from the group taking part in crash starts the fight for Bronze medal and the remaining World Cup - Olympic qualification points.. Malaysian Azizul Awang was heroic enough to cross the line first and take the Bronze whilst crying out in agony at his painful injury. Kuczynski and Dawkins were next over with Peralta disqualified for his action. Shuang Guo of China won the final of the Women’s Keirin. She emerged from a clutch of riders who went into the final corner together, to claim the win by half a wheel from Clara Sanchez of France. The final was sort of a drag race as Levy used his legs to power away from Mulder and Pervis.. This same he rode away with a 15.000 Euro prize. What more interesting about this race that Mulder did jump two places up just on last lap.. sick!

Was not just about gathering the French fixed scene! It was a ride, and... a contest in a nice skatepark in the suburbs of Paris. It was not a big contest, it was just the opportunity to ride together for all the Parisian in a new place. The floor was very slippy, however, some of us shredded the modules - soundtrack

That’s the first competition of the season.. Paris Its always good for a ride. I’m really happy to do that as I did have chance to meet up with existing and new crews. What Is good that different styles of fixed riders can work together on great event.
I been told that Paris scene its more about street riding then skate-park.. Nothing like this form Simon which show couple great moves unfortunately last grind of competition landed on his head.. this same erasing all memories of that day! Whats the feeling of coming back with trophies and not knowing what for.. we will try to ask him that this in next Issue.
In trick comp unfortunately could not start Felix which still didn’t recover from broken ankle .. Simon still whole show by finding line and trowing tricks one after another.. From beginning, after leaving cold and wet London In less then 3h I’m in centre of sunny Portugal. Its just end of march and Is really hot. All the crews setup meeting at Plaça do Comercio. Panic on the streets group of riders starts to terrorised city. We are on hunt for spots.. Nothing run away attention of those guys like Oscar checking his spot from the plane he make all efforts to get there. Lisbon have it all.. and most of that we find at Cidade Universitária (university city). All riders showing what they made of. I think couple of riders stooped by security from killing them selves (like Simon getting in to ridiculous drop). STOKED STOKED ON ON FIXED FIXED BIKES BIKES
As far Mike Schmitt push his grind and Oscar and Ed beetling for best trick. Getting dark and big group of us bombing on of the biggest hills in the city.. All of you will agree that was one of the most crazy ride in there life... Red light terrorists. All crews meet up one more time that night for Sprints in Montana shop.. We all know Cheap is better - Ricardo 1 litter bottle of Sagres - 1.5euro do the job. Like pasta and ketchup at 4am

After couple hours of sleep every one on bike. Maybe heads still not there but wheels are spinning. After leaving part of my pants on the fence we are at the Skate Park. Place is amazing big ramps and many lines to be find. Every one stoked on riding. Every one showing off.. still you can feel that the best just to come.

Trick Trick ... BOOM started on Saturday around 12 at Place de Bastille where from some of the crews went together for ride around city. CĂŠsar and Renaud from Ugly Grumpy Haters did have couple spots for us as well Ricardo and Jotta from West Fixed Lisbon did want to check some. Every one was stoked on riding to time of rain.. Still that was fair ride and thenks all people which turn up for it.. fun times! Ricardo

Really Boom take place on Sunday. Column of around 30 riders roll trough city in to Skate Park. We did need to wait to get in but Was worth it. Super Sick concrete made bowls boxes walls rails you name it you have it. You could imagine reaction of riders.. from that not long were practise session begin. Mike Schmitt before competition damage his ankle and was not able to ride. Simon broke his bike in Lisbon.. you can imagine what next. Yes Simon on Mikes bike steeped in to another dimension. Bike suits his style of riding.. Michael Chacon after Lisbon shows that he is in the game for top positions. The only girl Juliet Elliott starts on group of strong riders showing that she is not afraid of jumps or grinds..

After few minutes top 7 riders to the finals.All of them shows that grinds rail transfers there are in every ones field.. Jotta shows great grinds and x-up skills whole run really smooth.. Simon could not stop trick after trick smiling.. Michael Chacon make spectators and judges in to excitement how many tricks you can squeeze in one run!! ED Wonka shows that is strong and at the top of the game.. so much fun to watch nice lines around skate-park and tricks one after another..

Ninja Cats are One of the new young gun crews in London. I did have the chance to meet them first time last year during the BFF Fixed Show . From the beginning Lewis, Sol an Hector got my attention as a really motivated riders. The whole crew went on the trip to Lisbon and I used this occasion to get them to know a bit better. YO we’ve been a part of the game since day one with the gnarliest ghetto conversions anyone had seen in London. When we first got into fixed gear we were just having fun building learning and riding. But now it has become a more significant part of our lives. It has drawn all interests and hobbies of ours into one brilliant medium whether it is filming editing writing or riding. Lisbon was the most amazing experience and best weekend we’ve ever had. Seeing so many people who have as much passion as we do is quite incredible especially when everyone is having such a great time. I hope that our input into the world of fixed gear will bring more riders together and push fixed gear to a place no bike has been. COME TO LONDON WE WILL MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOOKED AFTER!

Bike Polo A few bright spells outside makes us think that indeed there is a sun behind the London clouds. Unlike in Lisbon, Londoners can't rely on the weather which doesn't mean that there is no fixed fun going on around River Thames. In fact the amount of that stuff may be sometimes slightly overwhelming. Especially when you end up counting empty bottles or cans hours later. Since the fixed scene in the Capital is pretty big, erm, massive it's obvious that no rain can spoil the fixed joy. Every year a countless number of events takes place under those clouds and this year is no exception. Although we are very much looking into the presence and the future, we would like to have a quick snap shot of what was going on here in London nearly two years ago, when Londoners hosted the European Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship in 2009.
