Our focus is very much on revising and consolidating existing knowledge and skills, rather than introducing new ideas and concepts.

Pupils are not expected to do the equivalent of a full day’s work in school,

It is not straightforward to provide feedback via email or through other online platforms, so whilst staff will acknowledge work that they are sent, it is not possible for marking to be done in the usual way. Where possible staff are setting work that pupils can mark or check themselves.

How Do I Access My Work?

The following are available for each subject:

There are a range of online platforms that you can use to access work. To get started click one of the icons below. Work is being set in the following places for each subject:

English/ Literacy: Accelerated Reader: Students can chose to read a book from the AR scheme (see choices at www.arbookfind.co.uk and can complete a follow up test at www.ukhosted26.renlearn.co.uk/6708712). Literacy Planet: This is a games based interactive platform on the internet that reinforces key messages for reading and writing. The work is ‘marked’ by the platform and the next exercises suggested will sequence appropriate levels of challenge app.literacyplanet.com/login.

Lexia PowerUp Literacy: This is a programme designed to help students to improve their reading. Work is marked by the programme and monitored by Mrs Tulloch. The first time you log in you will need Mrs Tulloch’s email address (rebecca.tulloch@salford.gov.uk). Students who have access to Lexia will be informed by Mrs Tulloch individually. www.lexiapowerup.com. Maths Maths Watch: Teachers will set tasks for classes on maths watch. The platform will show students when they have successfully completed questions. www.mathswatch.co.uk Science Kerboodle : An assignment will be set weekly for students on this platform. www.kerboodle.com/users/login French Duolingo Duolingo: Helps language learning through games. It is a fun platform where students earn badges, climb up the leaderboards and collect lingots. www.duolingo.com

support with their learning at home. Students have been provided with

Borrow Box from Salford Libraries allows you to borrow up to 6 ebooks or eAudioBooks for free. You can join the library service at www.salfordcommunityleisure/libraries and download the app ‘BorrowBox Libraries’ to use. Audible have also made a number of their books available for free. www.stories.audible.com/discovery.
