16 The cave of Su Molente Roberto Loru, Antonio Murgia, Leo Fancello The history of explorations in Su Molente cave located in Supramonte of Baunei between the Su Palu-Monte Longos system and the Bue Marino cave (Nuoro, Italy). A hypothetical connection between these two caves would give the longest underground karst system of Italy with more than 70 kilometers of development.
26 Towards the wonderful entrance which couldn’t be far away Sandro Sedran The Buso della Rana is a temporay spring cave of about 30 km of development with mostly horizontal passages. It is located in Monte di Malo (Vicenza, Veneto). More of forty years of explorations carried out particularly inside the long Ramo Nero, haven’t been enough to find a second entrance to the cave.

Things roll by: the water, the memories, the life Sandro Galdenzi Remembering Andrea Bocchini, a friend caver companion of explorations recently death, the author describes the cave of Sasso Pozzo (or Risorgente of Gagliole), an interesting temporary cave spring located in San Vicino Mount (Macerata, Marche). According to the results of the first monitoring hydrological studies realized with three data loggers, the flood waters rise for over 40 meters from the normal piezometric water level.
35 Giulio Natta, chemist and speleologist Giovanni Badino e Arrigo A. Cigna The name of Giulio Natta is well known for his researches in the field of polymers which led him to win the Nobel Prize: on 2 nd May 1994 the Poste Italiane (Italian mail service) dedicated a stamp to his memory. On the other hand his speleological activity is nearly completely unknown. For this reason we thought that it was worthwhile to collect here some information about this illustrious “colleague”, also through some personal memories of one of us (AAC) who had the chance to meet him.
38 Lost worlds Francesco Sauro In February 2009 La Venta exploring team organized a quick expedition to the Chimanta massif, one of the quarzitic rock Tepuis situated in the Bolivar region, in the south-east of Venezuela. The activity has been focused on the exploration of some important springs located on the Akopan Tepui’s walls. The obtained results show the speleological interests of this area and generally of all the quarzitic mountains belonging to the Guyana Shield.
48 The river beyond the spring Simone Milanolo, Nevio Preti, Lia Botta, Amila Zukanović Though Bosnia and Herzegovina is located in the center of Europe, it is still one of the most unexplored territories from a speleological standpoint. Since 2007 two expeditions and many camps organized in collaboration between four countries (Italy, Bosnia, Croatia and Montenegro) succeeded to discover and explore one of the two springs of the river Miljacka, up to day the longest documented cave in this country.
