Some of our Homeware has moved downstairs in a major relocation designed to give you a more interactive customer experience. Stellar brands KitchenAid, Dualit and Dyson have all joined the offering, with their array of exceptional electrical products. We hope you’ll also enjoy our new leather gallery, our relaunch of The Lounge Company and our extra lifestyle touches throughout. In the spirit of Christmas, we’re also very much enjoying being more active in the local community and events. The local area has always been close to our heart, but we’re now looking for even more reasons to contribute and get to know you all.

WINTER-PROOF YOUR SKIN Janine Da Costa, Education Executive at Dermalogica, shares her tips on how to achieve glowing skin all through the colder months As the temperature drops, many of us notice changes in our skin. Exposure to the elements, not to mention the moisture-zapping heated environment inside, can cause a range of unwelcome skin concerns, including dryness, sensitisation and flaky patches. Winter skins need protecting, extra nourishment and repairing. And just a few adjustments to your skincare routine can make a big difference. 1. Switch your face wash for a nourishing cleansing oil. If you’ve not tried Dermalogica’s PreCleanse yet, now’s the time! Not only will it thoroughly remove makeup, grime and pollutants in a flash, the nourishing plant oils will help restore the skin’s protective barrier. Follow this with a dry skin hero, Intensive Moisture Cleanser, for a skin comforting second cleanse. 2. Exfoliating skin can help with flakiness and rough texture but winter skin may be less tolerant of hydroxy acids and scrubs. Use a gentle powder exfoliant to polish the skin without irritation. Multiple award-winning Daily Microfoliant is the perfect winter skin smoother! It contains Rice Bran to gently remove flaky patches, leaving skin soft with a radiant glow. This is great to use over chapped lips too to improve the skin condition. 3. Upgrade your lightweight summer day cream to a richer moisturiser. This doesn’t mean using something really greasy that

Try a multi-functional, vitamin rich masque a few times a week for the ultimate party prep and to repair winter skin. Vitamins A, C, E and F will nourish and restore skin, repairing winter damage. Cult favourite MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque contains a cocktail of skin regenerating vitamins in a creamy base to nourish parched, stressed skin.
5. For a seasonal skin boost, select serums with antioxidants like Vitamin C. They neutralise damaging molecules, helping the skin defend itself against stressors and repair existing damage. Try an ultrapotent serum like BioLumin-C Serum. 6. Remember to apply your daily SPF. The sun may not be out but its damaging, skin-ageing rays are still present, especially UVA, which penetrates deep into the skin
causing damage all year round. Solar Defence Booster SPF50 can be added to your favourite Dermalogica moisturiser, just mix 50:50 for a customised level of UV protection. 7. The same dryness and tightness that impacts the skin on our face, is often experienced on the body during winter. To compensate for increased skin dryness, layer treatment oils under your body moisturiser to seal in moisture. Home and food blogger, Sisley White, reveals how If there is one time of the year when you really want to set a beautiful table, it’s Christmas. Here we put together a look that is elegant and luxurious – yet easy to recreate – with a colour palette of bright whites, fresh greens and silver highlights. We used a silver runner on top of a dark table. From there, we added a vibrant garland centrepiece. In the dark and cold winter, a faux garland brings a hint of nature to the house. They are also reusable, which makes them brilliant value for money.
