THE STORY BEGAN IN 1976 WHEN LISE AAGAARD’S BROTHER, SØREN, CREATED THE VERY FIRST BEAD. DURING THE 80’S LISE JOINED THE BUSINESS AND FOUNDED TROLLBEADS, A STATE-OF-THE-ART COLLECTORS’ CONCEPT THAT CAME TO CHANGE THE VALUE OF JEWELLERY.

Lise was born into a family of jewellery artists and raised in an environment full of creativity, art, and design. She was always encouraged to follow her heart and walk her own way. Yet, it was within jewellery that she could realise her passion.

The world is her muse and diversity her mantra. She finds inspiration everywhere and has a natural urge to discover. She has travelled the world and met the odd, the new and the different –all creating impressions and memories deeply imbedded in her art.

Lise reminds you of the glass beads she is so committed to creating. Like them, she is vibrant, playful, lively, and profound. Like glass, no-one can force Lise to do anything she doesn’t want to do. Lise is motivated by the desire to create.

Lise designs herself but secures diversity by inviting selected designers to partake. With her unique beads, Lise gives every woman the opportunity to find self-expression and enjoyment through her work.
