• 4 3½oz/100g skeins (each approx 328yd/300m) of Noro Silk Garden Sock (wool/silk/nylon/mohair) in #S421 Hokuto • One pair size 6 (4mm) needles, OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE • Stitch holders

GAUGE

18 sts and 23 rows to 4"/10cm over St st using size 6 (4mm) needles. TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

NOTE

The shawl uses a total of 54 leaves with 18 leaves in each of the 3 leaf sizes. The leaves are laid out in a random fashion.

Row 6 Sl 1, [k3, yo, k1, yo] 5 times, k4—35 sts. Row 8 Sl 1, k4, [yo, k1, yo, k5] 5 times—45 sts. Row 10 Sl 1, k5, [yo, k1, yo, k2, k3tog, k2] 4 times, yo, k1, yo, k6—47 sts. Row 12 K2tog, k5, yo, k1, yo, k7, [yo, k1, yo, k2, k3tog, k2] twice, yo, k1, yo, k7, yo, k1, yo, k5, k2tog—51 sts. Row 13 P2tog, p to last 2 sts, p2tog—49 sts.
