Kayla has recently left Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where she was dancing with Canada's longest-running contemporary dance company, Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers (WCD). She has appeared in works with WCD since 2011 by several choreographers, including WCD artistic director, Brent Lott, Sasha Ivanochko, and Johanna Riley. Aside from WCD, she has also worked with Odette Heyn-PROJECTS in collaboration with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra since 2010. She has twice traveled

to Ottawa, Ontario to perform in The Canada Dance Festival, has toured to New York City, New York and Toronto, Ontario with Odette HeynPROJECTS. As well, Kayla has worked closely with choreographer Constance Cooke, with performances in Victoria and Winnipeg, Canada. Kayla has also worked professionally with choreographers Menaka Thakkar and Stephanie Ballard. Upcoming projects include an appearance with company @tendance/C. Medina in Vienna, Austria December 2013.

Myla and Manuel have been competing in ballroom dancing tournaments on the highest level since May 2013. Besides work and university, they devote multiple hours every day to their art. The pair's repertoire includes International Latin and Standard as well as American Rythm and Smooth.

MANU'S STORY Everything starts by chance. When I was 13 years old I was doing Karate. Then my parents started to dance for fun and I discovered that I also liked it. One day I told my mom: ÂťI want to exchange my karate life for dancingÂŤ and my parents encouraged me from the very first moment. From this day on I practiced very hard almost every day. I reached the highest category in dancing with my first partner (with whom I danced for 7 years) in less then a year. With my second dance partner I got into the finals of the Spanish Championships in Latin and Standard and travelled a lot around the world. We lived in China for six months dancing an awesome tour in 27 different cities. This was really a great experience. And, finally and I do not know how, I ended up in Berlin, where I found my current dance partner, Myla.

MYLA'S STORY I started dancing pretty late, normally you start at the age of 5 or 6. I was sixteen, even so, I wanted to dance ballet. This was my dream since I had been 6 years old. But unfortunately, nobody could take me to classes because of work. So, I had to play piano, which was OK, but not really what I wanted to do. When I was 13 my family moved to Germany and 3 years later I walked into a dance studio on accident. I stood there with my mouth open and knew in this second: »Yes! This is what I had been dreaming about.« From that day on, my parents have supported me in every way they could. After I finished school I decided to go to the United States to gain new dance experience, to learn American Rhythm and Smooth as well as to teach dancing, compete and to do shows. Finally, I came back to Germany to study and I am very happy that I met Manuel on accident and I am looking forward to gaining great new experiences with him!!!

Besides photographing for sisterMAG, Cristopher is first and foremost a dancer. Starting at the age of 12, he followed in his brother's footsteps as a breakdancer. Long before the days of YouTube, Cris first learned to dance by watching recorded music videos on TV and copying the dancers he saw. In high school Cris continued formal training in tap, jazz, ballet, and other forms, eventually finding his current passion in hip-hop and salsa. Both of these street dances give Cris the freedom to fully express himself.

Of course we could not produce a whole issue on France without traveling to the country of baguettes and café au laits ourselves. For our September issue we went to the port town in the South East of France that resembles best the mentality and flair of the Côte d’Azur: Nice, 30 km away from the border of Italy, located between Cannes and Monaco. Immediately after our arrival we took our camera and the city map with us to explore the city because we were pinched for time. After our return to Germany I calculated again: All in all we spent exactly 24 hours in Nice. You will therefore get to know 24 highlights of our vacation: they are situations, sights, places or maybe even a specific type of ice cream. You can get another impression from the Nice video

In walking distance of the Quai des Docks we lived in a tiny apartment in the Rue Arson. The blue Port-sign saved us more than once when we drove around Nice in our red Cabrio, giving us a sense of direction.

Nice's harbour is one of the most important ones in the Mediterranean See. If you travel to Nice by boat, you will get an astonishing view of the Promenade des Anglais surrounded by palm trees and a first glimpse of the Mediterranean charme of Nice.

The Quai des Docks offers plenty of bars and bistros. »Le Pecheur« is a great tip for sea food dishes, but the view over the harbour with the yachts and fisher boats comes with quite a price!

After a long day of travels we were searching for a restaurant that wouldn't totally throw our sisterMAG travel budget out the window. Luckily we found »Les Garnuches«, located between the harbour and the Place Garibaldi. Kept in dark colours and covered in ivy, the restaurant surprised us not only with an outstanding main course (clod), but also with the most incredible desserts: Creme Brulée and an apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. les After dinner we happily set out to garnuexplore Nice's nightlife.

When we were crossing the Place Garibaldi and walked through the entrance hall of the MAMAC, we suddenly heard music from a plateau behind a steep staircase. The Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporai (4), short MAMAC, is a museum for modern art, located on the Promenade des Arts in Nice. Designed by Yves Bayard, the museum opened in 1990. The collection includes around 400 pieces from the period between the 1960s until now with pieces from the new realists Yves Klein, Niki de Saint-Phalle, the pop-art artist Andy Warhol, the minimal and conceptional art, the school of Nice and the SupportSurfaces group.

When night falls Nice gets even more intriguing [6]. You can walk around the entire night and the town is full of people. You can even get a scoop of ice-cream at 11.00 pm. On winding paths we made our way through the old centre, Vieux Nice, and already passed the ice-cream vendor Fenocchio (see point 19) which was surrounded by a huge crowd of people. We walked past the cathedral and stumbled upon a long

Nice itself comes across as a ragged but beloved town full of mediterranean flair. One of the reasons it is the perfect place to go shopping for antiques and knick-knack of long past years.

The best way to explore Nice is on foot. Especially the old town centre is impossible to navigate by car, but parking lots are easy to come by. Most people use their scooters to get around quickly. The town centre and even main roads are packed with those typical vehicles.

Just 5 minutes off the beach is the square Cours Saleya, which provides a beautiful setting for the famous market, open all-year-round. There are two man sections: the flower stalls with their opulent bouquets smelling of summer and holidays on the western end and a splendid food market on the eastern part, packed with long tables overflowing with exotic spices, fresh fruits and vegetables, pies and candied fruits. The CASCADE DU CHATEAU is an impressive, artificial waterfall that was built during the 18th century. It is located at the bottom of the Colline du Ch창teau. Colline du Ch창teau is known for being the most beautiful, romantic viewing platform the city offers. There is no castle to find because it was destroyed in 1706 due to orders from Louis XIV. Nonetheless, the Castle Hill still is an attraction and worth taking the steep way up. Especially at night you will meet a large crowd of people there to have a look over the harbour, the bright, red roofs and the shining domes, the narrow alleys and all of those gardens of Nice.

BAKED FENNEL recipe first published on ISS-ERLAUBT.DE 1. Preheat the oven to 400° F (200° C). Carefully peel off the outer leaves of the fennel bulbs, clean the rest and put aside the fennel green. Cut the bulbs in half and the lemon in slices. Let saltwater boil together with the lemon slices and add the fennel bulbs to blanch for 10 minutes. Take them out and let them drain.

2. Meanwhile peel the onions and the garlic cloves. Chop up the onions, the garlic and the fennel cores. Mix it together with the parsley, Parmesan, bread crumbs and olive oil. Season it with salt and pepper.

300 g salmon filet juice and zest of 1 organically grown lemon 4 tbsps olive oil 400 g pasta of your choice 1 shallot, finely diced 50 g frozen peas 3 EL grated parmesan (and some extra for garnish) salt and pepper

1. Preheat the oven to just under 190°C (375°F). Put the salmon skin-down on a parchmentlined baking tray and bake for about 12 minutes.

2. Mix the lemon zest into 3 tablespoons of olive oil, set aside and let it set. 3. Cook the pasta in salted water following packet directions or until al dente, then drain and collect 3 tablespoons of the cooking water. 4. Heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in a pan, add the diced shallot and fry until soft. Add the peas and cook together for 2 to 3 minutes, then add lemon juice. Season to taste adding salt and pepper. 5. Add the drained pasta, 3 tablespoons of cooking water, 3 tablespoons of parmesan and the salmon (flaked into pieces with a fork) to the pan and mix well. 6. Drizzle with the lemon-oil-mix and some parmesan and serve.

Whisk the eggs thoroughly and season to taste using salt, pepper and paprika. Pour the eggs into the pan, add the parmesan and – without stirring – let it cook for about 5 minutes until the frittata is done at the bottom and starts setting at the top.

Add the broth, increase the heat and bring the soup to a boil. Reduce the heat back to medium and let it simmer for 10 minutes. 4. Return the saucepan to the heat and add the cream once the soup has reheated. 7. Drizzle with toasted almonds before serving.

However, I also wear some maternity brands, such as Isabella Oliver, with whom I did an amazing collaboration by the way, this post will go live midSeptember. Arrange the tomatoes, aubergine and thyme or oregano over the bottom of the tart shell. Pour the custard mixture on top. 9. Break the goat cheese into chunks and distribute around the tart and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until it sets. 10. Remove and leave to cool slightly before serving.

1. Preheat the oven to 325ยบF (165ยบC). 2. Tear the ciabatta into thumb-sized pieces, then place them on a tray and bake them in the oven for 5 min until they are crusty and golden. 3. Put the tomatoes into a bowl, season with salt and pepper and mix together. Add the onion, pitted kalamata olives, bread and anchovies (optional). Mix well to really get the flavours going. 4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar and about 6 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Have a taste and add more salt, pepper, vinegar or oil if you think it's needed. 5. Tear the basil leaves over the salad, give it another stir.

Pour the olive oil into the baking dish or pan and add the garlic, thyme, rosemary, and salt and pepper. Toss the tomatoes with the oil and seasonings. 4. Bake for two hours, or until the tomatoes are completely softened and wilted, and start to wrinkle.

STORAGE The tomatoes will keep for about five days in the refrigerator in a sterilized glass jar filled with olive oil to the top. It's wonderful to toss with pasta or to top a crusty bruschetta.

INSPIRATION

We are both passionate home cooks and 100 percent addicted to our cell phones. This is how we came up with the idea of trying out cook apps, but had to realize that there are only a few good ones, which is probably due to

the fact that programming an app yourself is difficult, time-consuming and expensive. We wanted to offer a solution that would make creating high-quality apps easy, fast and cost-effective.

THE FIRST APP

The first cook app created with appetico was launched in June 2013 and is called The Vegan Nom Noms Cook App by Nicole Abramowski, an American food blogger who lives in Berlin. More apps are already in the works. 175

The apps are sold, just like cookbooks. The proceeds are split between the author and appetico. Brands on the other hand want to present their products and offer the apps for free. For that, they pay a fixed fee.

We will have our own office and our app will be one of the best-selling apps in the App Store!

FOUNDER'S PAST

There are different software with which you can create apps such as Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. However, this software is specialized in creating magazines and books. The appetico publishing software was especially made for creating cook apps.

Christoph studied Software Engineering at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam and worked for a company creating translation management software. Among others, he worked in Silicon Valley for them for 6 months.

Silke studied Business Communications in Berlin and at the same time worked in Content Management at barcoo, one of the best-known consumer apps in Germany.

It was actually quite difficult finding a name with food references that was not already used. We are big fans of the Italian cuisine and that is how we

came up with appetico. It reminds you of the Italian “appetito” (appetite) and it ends with “co”. That way we could secure the domain www.appeti.co.

Our company colors, just like our name, were inspired by Italy. So we used green, white and red— the colors of the national flag of Italy.

We naturally prefer cooking ourselves. Since we test all of the apps created with appetico, the authors determine what kind of food we eat. In case of the Vegan Nom Noms Cook App we prepared a lot of dishes with seitan, for example.

Combine milk, cream, lavender, sugar and salt in a medium sized saucepan. Bring to a boil and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain to remove the lavender flowers. Mix egg and yolks. Whisking constantly add the egg mixture to the milk. Divide the custard evenly among baking dishes. Preheat oven to 125째C. Put the dishes into a pan. Add enough boiling water to come 2/3 up the sides of the dishes. Place the pan into the oven and let bake for 4555 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Refrigerate for 20 minutes, sprinkle with sugar and caramelize using a torch.

Whisk all the ingredients together until a dough forms. Refrigerate for an hour. Preheat oven to 180째C. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and form little balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Flatten them with the fingers. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool completely. The orange tuiles are a great alternative if you don't have a torch. They are so thin that they can be crushed with a spoon similarly to the caramelized sugar crust.

250 g blanched, skinned almonds 350 ml milk 4 sheets leaf gelatine 100 g sugar 300 ml heavy cream 8 apricots 2 tbsp honey

Spread the almonds on a tray and roast in the oven at 180째C for 10 minutes until lightly toasted. Grind the almonds in a food processor until fine. Transfer to a saucepan, add milk and bring to a boil. Let steep for 15 minutes. Meanwhile place the gelatine in a bowl with cold water. Pour the almond milk through a sieve, discard the almond meal. Return to the saucepan over low heat and add the sugar, stirring to dissolve. Squeeze the excess water from the gelatine and add to the milk. Stir until gelatine dissolves. Pour almond milk into a bowl and refrigerate 10 minutes or more until it begins to thicken slightly. Whip the heavy cream in a bowl, then carefully fold in the almond milk. Pour into moulds and

refrigerate at least 7 hours. Wash, halve and stone the apricots. Set a pan over medium heat, add honey and let it caramelize for a bit. Place apricots in the pan, season to taste with Grand Marnier. To unmold the blanc manger briefly dip the mould in warm water to loosen it and turn out onto serving plate. Serve with the warm apricots. Because of its very mild taste, the Blanc Manger works great with almost all seasonal fruits. In summer as a refreshing dessert with berries or as an autumn treat with homemade apple compote but also chocolate sauce or egg liqueur are great additions.

Preheat oven to 200째C. In a medium sized bowl whisk together flour, salt and sugar. Place the water and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add the flour all at once. Stir until combined. Return saucepan to the heat and stir constantly until the dough forms a thick smooth ball. Transfer the dough to the bowl of your electric mixer and beat on low speed for about 2 minutes until dough is lukewarm. Gradually add the eggs and beat to combine. The dough will have the texture of a smooth thick paste. Place the dough in a pastry bag and pipe 2 inch balls onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Leave at least 1 inch between each of the balls. Bake for 15 minutes, reduce temperature to 180째C and bake for a further 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely.

CHAI TEA CREAM FILLING In a saucepan combine 300 ml milk and sugar. Bring to a boil. Add tea bags and let steep for 15 minutes. Meanwhile whisk together 100 ml milk and the cornstarch. Remove tea bags and bring the chai milk to a boil. Add the cornstarch-milk-mix and, whisking constantly, boil for about a minute until the mix becomes thick. Transfer the pudding to a bowl and let cool completely. With a hand mixer beat the pudding and whisk in the quark and mascarpone. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding icing sugar.

CHOCOLATE SAUCE Place all the ingredients in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Stir from time to time until the chocolate has melted and all the ingredients are combined.

Cut the profiteroles in half. Fill the bottom half with the chai tea cream filling, gently place the top half of the pastry shell on the cream. Arrange the profiteroles on a serving plate and serve with the chocolate sauce.

Cover with cling film and refrigerate. 2 tsp sugar and cinnamon mix In the bowl of your electric mixer whip egg whites with a pinch of salt. Gradually add two tablespoons sugar and 120 g bittersweet chocolate whip until stiff peaks form. Set aside. 30 g butter In another bowl whip the heavy cream and the remaining 2 large eggs, divided two tablespoons sugar until soft peaks form. 4 tbsp sugar Remove the chocolate mix from the refrigerator and stir in a few tablespoons of the egg whites to lighten 120 ml heavy whipping cream it. Then gently fold in the remaining egg whites and the pinch of salt cream. 2 tbsp Grand Marnier Cover with cling film and refrigerate at least 6 hours. In a bowl combine flour, almonds, salt and icing sugar. Add butter and rub it into the flour with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Work as quickly as possible! Add the egg yolk and stir with a fork until the dough binds together. If the dough is too dry add 1-2 tbsp cold water. Wrap the dough in clingfilm and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 180째C. Remove pastry dough from fridge. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cut into desired shape and roll up the edges to create a rim, preventing the frangipane from running out. Using an electric mixer beat butter, sugar, orange zest and juice until pale and creamy. Gradually add the egg and egg yolk, whisk to combine. Carefully fold in ground hazelnuts and flour. Spread the mixture evenly onto the dough. Wash the plums and remove the stones. Cut into slices and place on the frangipane. Bake for 40-50 minutes. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with thick cream.

Writing an e-mail is a faster form to reach out to someone. Also several persons can be addressed with one mail and even forwarded directly. But this promptness and simplicity also results in forgetting any kind of etiquette when composing an e-mail. Therefore Alex sat down and summarized the most important rules when composing, sending and forwarding business e-mails.

01 Give each flower and foilage a cut with a sharp knife and leave them to drink some fresh water, before using them.

02 Cut a rectangle out of chicken wire. Fold the corners and shape it like an egg. Squish it carefully into the vase, and top it up with water.

03 Start with the foliage, insert it in the chicken wire. Place large leaves around the edges like a collar and some smaller bits in the middle.

06 Finally, wire the sea finds like shells, mussels, oysters and dry seaweed with florist wire or glue them on sticks and insert in the arrangement. We found some beautiful mussels, shells, oysters and seaweed along the beach. They make really nice decorations in the arrangement.

04 When it comes to the roses, start with the center rose. Make sure it is in the middle and slightly above the foliage. This rose will state the height of the arrangement. Then place four roses around the edge in a 90 degree angle, evenly. These five roses are the key roses that will set the proprtions of the whole arrangement.

04 Add the lavender two or three stalks at a time. Start from the middle and work you way around. Turn the bouquet often in your hand to make sure it is even. Now tighten the bouquet properly with a string. Tighten it hard enough to keep the bouquet together but you still want to be able to make some small adjustments. 01 RECEPTION

On a sunny Sunday midday in August around 11 o’clock Toni and Thea from sisterMAG welcomed the first guests in the facilities of their event partner BLOOMY DAYS in Steinstrasse 3, Berlin. After the reception, the florists Hßrriyet and Rebecca taught the participants what steps to follow when arranging flowers. First of all, all guests had to decide if they wanted to learn how to arrange a bouquet or if they wanted to learn how to make a flower crown.

02 GOODIES

The idea was that all participants would go home at the end of the day with something to remember of this special event. Therefore everybody received a little handmade booklet with the program and space to write down notes and a small bag with flower arrangement wire. BY HĂœRRIYET 1. When choosing your flowers, make sure you pick the blooms with firm petals. They will be fresh and last longer. 2. Should your flowers be out of water for a while, wrap the stems with a damp tissue. 3. Once you brought your flowers home, you clean the stems. Strip off any leaves that will fall below the water line. 4. Fill your clean vase with tepid water. 5. Cut every stem in an angle, so they can absorb the water better. 6. Avoid direct sunlight and heat. You don't want your flowers to wilt quickly! 7. Change water daily, so your flowers will last longer. 8. If needed re-cut the stems. 9. Remove any wilted or dead flowers. You want your arrangement to look pretty, right? 10. Enjoy your flowers as much as you can. They spread so much happiness!

JARDIN In a mixing bowl break up the goat cheese into small crumbs with your hands. Finely chop the basil and add to the goat cheese. With your hands roll the mixture into small balls (approx. one mouthful), then place them on a tray in the fridge for 1 hour. In a small bowl mix egg and milk, in another bowl add the flour, and in another add the breadcrumbs. Take the cooled goat cheese balls out of the fridge and roll in flour, the milk and egg mixture and then the breadcrumbs before returning them to a tray and back in the fridge to cool before deep-frying.

with apples, asparagus, candid walnuts and passion fruit flowers in red wine syrup Place one cup of sugar in a saucepan and add 2 cups of red wine. Let simmer on medium heat until reduced by half, then place to cool in fridge. In a deep fryer, fry the goat cheese balls on 350째F till they are lightly golden brown. Place them on kitchen towel to get rid of excess oil. Cook the baby asparagus for 30 sec in boiling water, then plate up and drizzle over some of the red wine sauce at the end. This little appetizer is such a gorgeous and colorful starter, perfect for little cocktail parties.

Finely chop the onion, ad to a saucepan with some olive oil and sweat till soft, then add the white wine and the rice. Let simmer till the liquid is absorbed by the risotto rice while stirring.

4 oz mixed mushrooms 8 oz risotto rice 10 fl oz flour vegetable stock 1 piece butter 1 small yellow onion 1 cup white wine Parmesan salt pepper Herb oil ingredients: 1 bunch parsley 1 sprig rosemary 1 handful spinach 3 leaves sage

Add the stock one cup at the time, each time waiting till the rice has absorbed the liquid before adding more and keep stirring. When all is absorbed in the rice, have a taste, the rice should be soft and wonderful. You may need to add more vegetable stock at this point. Chop the mushrooms in suitable small slices and add to a small saucepan, add a knob of butter and let simmer while stirring. Add salt and pepper to taste till browned and soft, then add the cream. Add the mushroom mixture to the risotto and add salt and pepper to taste before dishing it up with some grated Parmesan cheese and decorated with purple violas. Quickly blitz the herbs and the olive oil together till liquidized and smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste and drizzle over dish before serving.

Rinse and set the berries aside in a bowl.

For the sabayon sauce:

6 cups berries of your choice (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, red currants, raspberries, etc.) or as much as you like 3 egg yolks 3 tbsp caster sugar 1/2 pint cream 1 tbsp calvados a handful yellow edible violas

In another heatproof bowl mix the egg yolk, sugar, cream and calvados. Place the heatproof bowl over a saucepan filled with water that is simmering over medium heat on the stove. Keep stirring and mixing until well blended and having the consistency and thickness of double cream. Dish up your fruits on individual plates, pour over some sabayon sauce and glaze under the grill until golden brown before garnishing with edible flowers (we used yellow violas). Serve when warm paired with calvados for your guests.

Soak the gelatin in cold water till soft.

Panna Cotta 2 leaves bronze gelatin 1 cup cream 1 cup milk 1 tsp dried lavender 1 tsp honey

Place milk and cream in saucepan, add dried lavender and honey and bring to a low simmer over medium to low heat. Add the soft gelatin and stir until all is dissolved and mixed in. Pour the lavender panna cotta mixture into molds and place in fridge for 2 hours to cool. Before serving, dip molds into hot water and turn upside down onto individual plates.

Whisk sugar and egg whites together until combined, then add the soft butter and whisk till thoroughly combined. Add flour, vanilla essence, and raspberry puree and whisk together till smooth. Place in fridge for 4 hours to cool. When ready to make the tuile, use a palate knife to smear the tuile batter onto baking paper and place in a hot oven to bake for a few minutes till light golden brown.

Use same amount of sugar to water and mix together in a small saucepan while heating slightly on low. Dip petals in the water sugar mix, dust both sides of the petals with icing sugar and place on grease proof paper to go crisp in a lightly warm oven. You may also candy some lavender for extra crunch.

Raspberry coulis 1 2/3 cup raspberries 2/3 cup icing sugar 1-2 tsp lemon juice

Whizz the raspberries in a blender or through a sieve and add the lemon juice to taste. If you’ve used a blender, pour the blended raspberries through a sieve to remove the seeds and make the coulis smooth. Serve up the lavender panna cotta on a plate with a spoonful of the coulis over it, before decorating with candid rose petals and / or lavender and placing the raspberry tuile on an angle up against the panna cotta. Dust the plates with icing sugar. Serve with a cooled glass of Prosecco or Cava.

Repeat this step until the glass is almost full and leave 1cm to add champagne right before serving and leave to cool in freezer. For even more goodness try using rose fizz when serving.

This shop is to be found in one the most alternative parts of the city: Sternschanze - in the biggest street called Schulterblatt (shoulder blade). The name of the shop is a reference to a building in the same street called rote flora - a former theatre, squatted since 1989. The flowers in the shop are 311

very elegantly presented and the interior of the shop is spectacular, with a floor made out of loose stones and a little wooden path in the middle that makes you feel as if you were in a garden. They also have a large variety of outdoor plants for balconies. The

Saxifraga is one of the most amazing and individual flower shops I have visited in my life. Forget everything you know about flower shops before you go there. The owner Carola Wineberger is a very creative lady and really manages to create atmospherical flower compositions. The shop is situated in the very creative district called Karolinenviertel, or 312

Karoviertel, and surronded by many small shops with a lot of handmade fashion and decoration items. What I like the most about this shop are the micro-bouquets. She makes some very small bouquets and displays them in recycled jars or shot glasses – they really look like the ones I loved making when I was a child. No vase is small enough for these little beauties. She sells them for a couple of euros. I find it so refreshing to find that kind of bouquet in a flower shop. So far away from all those pre-formated bouquets you find everywhere with gerberas and a lot of green.
