The Honeycomb is 14cm long, 7cm high and 6cm wide. Not including the design it took two craftsmen 1850 solid hours to complete. The comb is hand carved from Baltic Amber and sits nestled between the firmly rooted branches of Opal encrusted sterling silver trees. The sizable Queen Bee on top of the comb is carved out of highly translucent Baltic Amber, and befitting a queen, she proudly exhibits her 22 karat gold wings and legs. As she impregnates the comb with her seed, smaller 22 karat gold helper bees, deliver their treasure store of honey. Bees are renowned for their sense of community and illustrious golden industry. They are the perfect subjects that wholeheartedly perform their role and encourage the flowering of nature.
