For the first time ever, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY have created official workshops for your pupils, exploring performance and literacy skills through the unique and magical world of the novel and hit stage show. The workshops have been created by the CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY team and tested with teachers. A range of workshop options are on offer to tie in with your experience of the show. Our practitioners can travel to your school or we will arrange it at a venue in London. Singing A technical workshop helping participants develop their vocal techniques. Musical Theatre A combination workshop which touches on dance, singing and drama skills, recreating a scene from the show. Literacy, Story Writing & Storytelling Sometimes having a really good idea for a story is the most difficult part in writing it. This workshop will explore different starting points for a new story, taking inspiration from the characters, setting and objects in CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOLS – MATILDA THE MUSICAL Cambridge Theatre Wednesday mornings

The Royal Shakespeare Company offers pre-show midweek matinee education workshops for primary and secondary schools during term time. The workshops are designed to introduce your students to the story of MATILDA THE MUSICAL, the key characters and the creative process of bringing it to life on stage. Led by RSC practitioners these active 90 minute sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of students of all ages from 6 years old and upwards. Education workshops are available on Wednesday mornings during term time from 10.30am – 12pm only and take place at the Cambridge Theatre. Contact the See Education team for more information.
