KIDZANIA LONDON Westfield London, Shepherd’s Bush

“CHILDREN CAN ONLY ASPIRE TO WHAT THEY KNOW EXISTS …” KidZania London is the UK’s first educational entertainment experience where children aged 4-14 can experience the world of work through role-play. There are more than 60 immersive activities including paramedic, pilot, actor, pit-line engineer, firefighter, television or radio presenter that children can aspire to be! Ignite their imaginations At KidZania experience is everything! When exploring the 75,000 sq.ft city, children are able to enjoy activities that have been developed and supported by qualified teachers and can be appropriately crossreferenced to the national curriculum including Maths, English, Science, Design & Technology, PSHE, the Arts, Sports and many more however, the learning extends well beyond the school curriculum and children will be able to develop a wide range of essential life-skills such as team work, communication, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, emotional intelligence and global citizenship. There are so many inspirational experiences for children to take part in and enjoy. Where else could your pupil be a pilot? Get Ready for a Better World® Imagine a 75,000sq.ft child-size city where kids are in charge! “Children can only aspire to what they know exists” - it is the aim of KidZania London to broaden these horizons so that our children can explore, aspire and begin to write their own narrative of the possible. To achieve this, children will grow to understand that curiosity is a catalyst, that learning is about connecting prior knowledge to new ideas, and that it can be a satellite navigation system to better places in life. Through role-play children will instinctively grasp that learning is tangible and its outcomes have a purpose and a reality, that it answers the ‘why’ question and that it can be unending fun!

KidZania provides children and their parents, families, schools and communities with a safe, unique, and realistic educational environment that allows young people between the ages of four to fourteen to do what comes naturally to them: imagining and role-playing traditionally adult activities and experiences and as we know: “Experience is everything!” As in the real world, children perform ‘jobs’ and are either remunerated for their work (for example as a pilot, firefighter, doctor, police officer, radio broadcaster, pitlane engineer) or pay to shop or to be entertained. KidZania is a city built to scale for children, complete with buildings, paved streets, greenery, vehicles, a functioning economy, and recognisable destinations in the form of ‘establishments’ supported by leading multi-national as well as more local industry partners. KidZania is all about ‘doing’ and represents experiential learning at its very best. Every activity has been developed and supported by qualified teachers and can be appropriately cross-referenced to the national curriculum: Maths, English, science, design and technology, computing and almost every other subject are learned through the motivating medium of realistic role-play. However, the learning extends well beyond the school curriculum and children will be able to develop a wide range of essential skills and attributes including: team work, communication, entrepreneurship, digital literacy, emotional intelligence, global citizenship. Need to know: Age Recommendation: 4-14 Education Connections: Cross-Curricular including Maths, English, Science, Design & Technology, PSHE, the Arts, Sports and many more Key Stages: 1-3 Duration: 4 hours 15+ School Groups Prices Start from: £12.00 per child plus free teacher tickets available Visit our listings page for more details.
