The other day I was asked what I believed was the greatest asset of our College, by a teacher who has expressed an interest in joining our team here at Cornerstone. When I pondered this great question, the answer was clearly obvious. It is the quality of our teaching team. At our recent assembly I made the comment that a school filled with great teachers working under a gum tree can produce far better educational outcomes than a team of poorly performing teachers working in a multi-million dollar educational facility. Of course, if one can have both, excellence can truly be achieved. This central focus on maintaining, supporting and equipping an outstanding group of teachers is at the heart of what we refer to as the “Cornerstone Way”.
