SBA Homecoming Our Homecoming dance is going to take on a very different look this year but in an effort to provide normalcy, we are still planning on hosting it. The dance will be held on Saturday, September 25 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. This is the weekend prior to Fall Break. It will also be outdoors on the football field. Specifics about dances can be found in the student handook, but please note: Tickets must be pre-purchased (during lunches beginning Monday, September 20 and will be sold though lunches on Friday, September 24). Tickets are not sold at the door/gate. Our students are welcome to bring one guest. Guest tickets must also be bought in advance and there is a “guest form” that must be completed by the SBA student/parent, the guest student/parent and the school they attend. I share this information so that all interested in inviting a guest, begin the process sooner rather than later. Guest forms will be available on our website under “quickllinks” by Sept. 10. Because the dance will be outdoors and on our football field, we are asking all to wear tennis shoes or shoes with a rubber/soft sole. We realize weather is always a factor, so join us in praying for a nice evening. If bad weather is a threat, we would need to cancel the dance earlier that day. Donations for a tent will be accepted to avoid a cancellation for rain! The daily themes for the week leading up to the big Homecoming game are: Monday - Class Hallway Theme Day (TBA) Tuesday – Olympics Wednesday – Dress for Job Interview Success for our All-School Mass Thursday – Elderly Day (Senior/Juniors) vs Baby Day (Sophomore/Freshmen) Friday – SBA Spirit Day (Freshmen wear white, Sophomores wear blue, Juniors wear red and Seniors wear all three!)

Did You Know? SBA Business Directory If you are interested in being featured as a spotlight member of the SBA Business Directory, you can join here. We will feature a member every month.

Attendance While we certainly hope that the steps we are taking to reduce the spread of any communicable illnesses will lower overall absences this year, we know they will happen. Whenever a student must be absent from school, a parent or guardian should call the school office (901.260.2893) or email us at attendance@sbaeagles.org before 9:00am to notify us of the reason. Upon the student's return to school, he or she must bring a doctor's note, if applicable, and a written statement signed by the parent stating the reason for the absence. This must be brought to the office before the student's first period class.

The Eagle Cafe The Eagle Cafe is back and better than ever this year. Your old favorites like the legendary cookies and meatloaf with sides haven't gone anywhere. But this year the Eagle Cafe will also feature new items, like fusion cuisine (think Korean tacos) and iced coffees from the new Java Nest. There are multiple ways to pay (declining balance cards and meal plans). Find out more about your dining options and view our current menu here. This month's fusion menu has Mexio meeting Asia with a shrimp fajita stir fry on September 14th!

You can find the social media and publications form on Quicklinks at the website.
