Laptop Pick-up Appointments Continue for Returning Students **Please do not wait until the last minute. There are a limited number of sign-ups appointments for next week. If you can pick it up this week, please do so. Your returning student's laptop for the 2021-22 school year has arrived. Appointments to pick them up will begin on June 14th and run through the 30th . Please note that these appointments are for returning students (and a parent) only. There will be a separate pickup for new incoming and transfer students. We will send that information in the coming weeks. Appointments will last approximately 30 minutes. Returning students must be accompanied

FWTN Magazine Be on the lookout for the June edition of Faith West Tennessee Magazine, featuring Major Michael McCusker, State Deputy of the Knights of Columbus, Assistant District Attorney General, and SBA Board Member. Eucharistic Congress - "That All May Be One" This year we are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of our Catholic Diocese of Memphis. The theme for our Anniversary is That All May Be One. To commemorate this momentous celebration, a


Eucharistic Congress will be held October 8th - 9th , 2021, at the newly renovated Renasant Convention Center in downtown Memphis. A Eucharistic Congress is a gathering of clergy, religious and laity to bear witness to the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the sacramental presence of Jesus under the forms of bread and wine. Please join us.

SBA Weekly Sports Report A big THANK YOU to the Lady Eagle soccer players who stayed after practice and helped clean out the Tully field house on Friday. What a great example of Eagles helping Eagles!

Summer workouts are continuing for many of our sports. The TSSAA mandated summer dead period will run from June 28th -July 11th.

Eagles Golf Congratulations to Claire Hollingsworth, rising sophomore, for placing 2nd in The Drive, Chip and Putt Qualifier at Champions Run Golf Course in Rockvale, Tennessee. Next up, she will compete in the sub-regional in College Grove, Tennessee on July 29th - one step closer to the Drive, Chip and Putt Finals in the 2022 Masters Tournament. Way to go, Claire!

Football Summer Conditioning Workouts June 14th - 17th 4:30pm - 6:30pm All players interested in joining Coach Joey Magnifico and the 2021 SBA Football Team are welcome to attend morning workouts. Men's Basketball The Men's Eagles Basketball team took to the courts this past week in Jackson, TN for a little pre-season competition. They went 2-1 at Union University and 3-0 at Trinity Christian Academy. Strong start for Coach Weeden and the boys! Summer conditioning will continue this week. Please note the change in time:

Pre-Participation Sports Physicals: Free for returning and incoming SBA students at Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics Saturdays in June 8:00am - 11:00am (Must Arrive By 10:30am)


The complete physical packet can be printed from the SBA website. Click on Athletics, Forms and Policies, Physical Packet. Print all pages, fill out each form completely, and sign by athlete and parent where appropriate. Parents are welcome, but not required to be present. Please contact Megan Koontz Jones, SBA athletic trainer with questions or concerns.

Student News Summer math and reading assignments have been posted. These are required assignments. Math will be due the first full day of school. If you have questions regarding the math, there will be a Q&A session in room B217 on Wednesday, August 4th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. For reading, students must have completed their assigned book by the first day of class. There will be an assessment (5 long answer questions) that first week. Students will also write a summer reading essay - that assignment will be introduced by the second week of class.

Mark Your Calendar Academic Bootcamp for Incoming Freshmen SBA will offer Summer Prep Boot Camp for incoming freshmen to strengthen their skills in English and math. English will cover basic skills in grammar, composition and literary techniques in preparation for freshman English class. Math will cover remedial fractions, decimals, integers, and equations in preparation for

SBA Baseball Camp - Rising 3rd through 8th Graders Attention parents of younger children: SBA is offering a baseball for rising third through eighth graders. Did You Know? Middle School Enrichment Programs Parents of middle schoolers: Starting this fall, SBA will be offering STEM enrichment to 7th and 8th graders and Honors Math for 8th graders. Classes will be from 7:00am - 7:30am and are free of charge. Please visit our website for more details on the schedule, requirements and how to register your child.


SBA Home & School Association: Volunteers Needed! The Home & School Association is a support organization that seeks to help out and enhance school spirit and atmosphere, as well as camaraderie between the school and families. Driver's Permit - Certificate of Attendance Needed Did you know that a certificate of attendance is required for a student to get a Driver’s Permit? You may pick up a form in the front office during our summer office hours. Please have the student's Social Security Number to complete the form.
