It has been used by Saint Francis of Assisi as a personal seal. The Franciscan Tau is a symbol of conversion to the faith and mission at service of others. Tau, crosses and other religious symbols that are pictured in this catalog are handcrafted using olive wood from the Assisi region.

USEFUL INFORMATON ON CATALOGUE AND MATERIAL USED The items pictured in the catalogue are the actual dimensions and they are 7 mm thick. Colors, prints and metal plates are to show you different styles and can be personalized. New items are marked as so and easily found throughout the catalogue pages. All the products are made in Assisi, Italy using automated machineries and hand finished. The material used is strictly Italian olive wood. Usually the items are completed with metal loop and cotton cord that can be of different colors and thickness, depending on the customer needs. All the products can be finished used metal key chains, brooches, cords and magnets of several sizes . It is possible to color print on all items that you see in the catalogue and even on items that you supply. It can be a picture, logo or letters. We can also personalize the items with laser engraving, design your own product with modifications from the existing ones or working on your original designs, changing the finish, color of cords and lacquer and choose among the ten colors available (white, red, green, blue, azure, brown, orange, purple, yellow and pink. The items that have an oval inlaid metal (saints or symbols) can be personalized choosing among many designs that we already have or making your own. All the tau pendants are inclusive of cotton cords with the typical three Franciscan knots symbolizing (obedience, chastity, and poverty). All the crosses (code starting with CR) and other items (code starting with V) have also a cotton cord without the three knots. All the various items that have the code starting with SM have a lacquer. All the items in general have a finish to protect the wood that can be a special oil or clear finish.
