The 60,000 seat stadium is to serve is the main football stadium in Dubai. It is an open air stadium with the pitch placed 20 meters above ground with retail located below. The “bowl� shape of the stadium it structured with concrete fins in order to produce maximum walking area in the retail below. The skin is formed by a steel diagrid structure with metal panels to allow for open airflow. My main resonsibility on this project was BIM manager. I developed the structure of models that created and the shared coordinates to allow for the most optimal workflow and coordination. I also assisted in spatial design, site design, MEP coordination, and structural coordination through the conceptual design phase of the project.

The Northwestern Sports Facility is located on the coast of Lake Michigan. It was programmed to be 400,000 square feet and house a fieldhouse, lockers, sports medicine, training table, academics and compliance, sports medicine, dryland training, offices, and meeting rooms for all of the sports and athletic faculty. After completing Schematic Design (SD), the project was cut back to a program of 320,000 square feet. As a result, the contract was rewritten and the project entered into SD2. The building became smaller but more dynamic in form. Upon completing SD2, the project entered into Design Documents (DD). I was in charge or coordination with structural and MEP under the supervision of the Senior Project Architect / Project Manager. I assisted the team through 100%DD. The facility is to be completed by December or 2017.

ATLANTA FALCON’S STADIUM LOCATION: ATLANTA, GA STATUS: UNDER CONSTRUCTION POSITION: STAFF ARCHITECT
The new Atlanta Falcon’s Stadium will hold 65,000 fans and is to be completed for the 2017 season. The stadium shows off a retractable roof that opens up similar to how a camera lens functions to appear as though it is twisting open to the edges of the 57’0” tall video halo board. I assisted in early pursuits to win the project and later joined the team again in the Construction Document phase to help design the catwalks in coordination with the structural engineer to provide access to the roof as well as maitenance access to the video halo board.

H&R BLOCK, CLUB 1040 LOCATION: KANSAS CITY, MO STATUS: COMPLETE POSITION: PROJECT DESIGNER / PROJECT ARCHITECT / BIM MANAGER
The H&R Block Club 1040 is located off of the main lobby in the H&R Block headquarters. The space was previously a 4,900 square foot unused office. It was programmed to house a fitness area, a trainer’s office, exercise classroom, and a men and women’s locker room. The facility was aimed towards promoting good health for their employees. After Conceptual Design, the project was approved with a time line of one month to prepare the Construction Documents and construction to be completed within four. From the beginning, I worked closely with the contractor (Centric Projects) and MEP engineer to make sure the drawings stayed within budget and were completed on time. Club 1040 opened on time and came in under budget with over a 20% profit.
BUILDING TRUST INTERNATIONAL 30K RESIDENCE LOCATION: PROGRAMMED FOR ANY LOCATION STATUS: COMPLETE POSITION: PROJECT DESIGNER
Building Trust International held a design competition to provide a design for a single residence that would cost under $30,000. A colleague (Chase Pitner) and I worked together in after hours to produce our idea for the Culvert Residence. By using a culvert, no foundation would need to be provided saving a majority of the cost in building a home. Because the culverts are made with concrete, they come in various heights and widths allowing the user to choose the size of their space and potentially add to their home in the future. We recieved one out of nine honorable mentions against just over 350 applicants.
PLAZA VISTA (POLSINELLI) LOCATION: KANSAS CITY, MO STATUS: COMPLETE POSITION: STAFF ARCHITECT / DESIGNER
Plaza Vista is a 200,000 square foot, nine story building the secured the west edge of the Plaza in Kansas City. Before this building was built, it was a blurred line between where the Plaza began and ended. It currently serves as the headquarters for the Polisnelli law firm and retail at ground level. When I began on the project I assisted in the design and detailing of the central staircase and the 9th floor reception wall. I also produced sixteen interior renderings using Revit during the Design Document phase to accurately display the materiality to the client. After helping with design, I continued to assist with drawings through the Construction Document phase.
