St Neots pre-match concern about losing three of their four defenders to injury (Aaron Smith), suspension (Charlie Stallard) and unavailability (Charlie Lewis) was allayed when recent signing George Hoddle marked his debut after just eight minutes with a smart finish from distance to give them the lead. Recent meetings of the two sides have seen the visitors win two of their last three appearancesatthegroundsotherewasascoretosettle, andthiswasachieved with some ease after Godmanchester lost their keeper after just a quarter of an hour. Although the ten men put up a spirited performance, they were no matchforthepatched-upStNeotssidewhichincludedstrikerRobbieMasonas an emergency centre half where he performed with distinction. The home side perhaps should have scored more goals but stand in keeper Ollie Butler produced a confident performance and some of St Neots finishing was very questionable.

After the break the reorganised visiting side with Jason Kissi on for Ben Tait competed better and Matty Allan had a shot deflected wide. Manny Osei impressively left two players in his wake but fired harmlessly over the bar, Akanbi went clear but shot across the face of goal and Butler again saved well to deny Charles. However, Charles was injured and Harvey Beckett back from injury substituted with Robbie Mason returning to his normal strikers’ role. Akanbi then cut in with pace only to see his shot rebound from the woodwork andthesameplayerthenshotoverthebarafterbeatinghismarker.Thematch came disjointed with a series of minor injuries to visiting players and Hoddle then put Osei clear but again his shot was too high. An excellent save by Butler from an Hasanally free kick looked to have kept the second half goalless but in the final minute of normal time Toib Adeyemi added a third St Neots goal after aneatoverheadassistfromMason. AhotlydisputedpenaltykickawardednineminutesfromtimesentStNeotsto their first league defeat of the season. The incident emanated from one of a clutch of second half corner kicks and when several players went down in the area St Neots believed that a free kick had been awarded to them for a foul on goalkeeper Jamie Greygoose. However, Referee Lauren Impey has spotted a push on a Daventry player and a penalty was awarded. Jack Bowen tucked awaythespotkickandthatprovedtobethedecidinggoal. Itwasaharshblow toaweakenedStNeotssidethathadbattledbackfromagoaldowninthefirst half. Daventry had lost both of their previous league matches and this victory lifted them off the bottom of the table and above their hosts. St Neots had been forced into team changes once again with striker Trey Charles having pickedupaweekendinjury,soRobbieMasonmoveduptoleadtheattackwith Harvey Beckett starting his first match at the heart of the defence, and Charlie StallardpreferredtoDeclanNcheatfullback. Daventrylookeddeterminedfromthefirstwhistleplayinganattackingstyleof play that forced their hosts on to the defensive. The second half began as something of a disappointment. A series of substitutions and bookings for minor offences spoiled any semblance of continuity although Hasanally shot just wide after good approach play out of defence by Harvey Beckett whilst at the other end Greygoose had to dive full length to claim a low shot by Jack Bowen. He also saved well from Gosnel-Tyler but with play largely confined to midfield there were few direct openings for either side. The Daventry substitutions saw two attacking players added to theirlineupandasthematchreacheditslatterstages, theyhadjustthebetter of possession. Then after 81 minutes from that late significant corner Jack Bowen made no mistake from the penalty spot with home skipper Callum Anderson booked for his protests at the decision. In the few minutes that remained Saleem Akanbi had St Neots best opportunity to salvage a point but his finish from a Manny Osei corner passed the wrong side of a post. St Neots now go on to a difficult away weekend fixture at title favourites Halesowen Town. The U18 Youth Team continued in the Midland Youth Floodlit League Premier Division. The U16, U15 and U14 squads all retained their membership of the Midland Junior Premier League. The U18 Youth Team completed a remarkable Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division North, Midland Floodlit Youth Cup and Leicestershire County Cup treble.

The former head Football Development and all his staff transitioned over to Leicester Road along with the U21, U18, U16, U15 and U14 squads. This enabled all the squads to continue their football development seamlessly without any impact from the liquidation.

The Senior Squad was established from the U21 and U18 squads and applied for membership of the Midland Football League. Leicester Road Football Club started the 2014 -15 season in the Midland Football league Division 2 and finished second to Coventry United to gain promotion to Division One. Leicester Road Football Club was awarded the FA Chartered Standard on October 2015.

When the 2019/20 season was eventually expunged Leicester Road sat in the top spot using the unweighted points per game mechanism and when the 2020/21 was curtailed again Leicester Road Football Club were top using the unweighted points per game mechanism.

The season was successful with Hinckley LRFC finishing runners up to Harborough Town having at one time going 27 games unbeaten
