Mikkeli Student Apartments Ltd (MOAS) merged with Mikalo Oy.

Our services and operati ons have been combined for all housing companies of Mikkeli. Moas staff moved into our offi ces at the end of April. Moas’ Real estate manager is Tero Tuhkanen, Rental Supervisor and Housing Advisor Marjut Rapo, Ani Rantalainen works as Accounti ng Secretary and Dusko Cuckovic as Tenant Secretary.

Fault report

You can request for maintenance service by fi lling in a fault report online. Maintenance work is carried out on weekdays 8:00–16:00. Urgent fault reports should be submitt ed directly to the maintenance service by telephone.

Door opening service

7.00am – 4.00pm on normal working days (during working hours): 30,00 € Outside of working hours including the weekends and holidays 60,00 €

Note! The fee of opening the apartment door service will be invoiced aft erwards. Mikalo Ltd. is a rental housing company, which is established in 1972 and owned by the City of Mikkeli. The company off ers rental apartments to Mikkeli residents on a cost basis. The levels of rents are determined once a year. In additi on to reasonable rents, Mikalo Oy provides its residents with high-quality apartments and high-quality resident services. Tenant selecti on is carried out in accordance with offi cial regulati ons and guidelines. Mikalo has over 3,000 apartments all over Mikkeli. Nearly 10% of Mikkeli residents live in Mikalo apartments.

Mikalo residents’ sati sfacti on is very high. 95.3% of respondents have recommended or would be willing to recommend Mikalo to their acquaintances. (Innolink 2021)

MOAS, Mikkeli Student Housing Ltd, is a 100% owned limited liability company of the City of Mikkeli, established in 1975. The company’s fi eld of business is to own and manage and build apartments. The company rents out apartments it owns and manages to students and other young people studying in post-comprehensive school insti tuti ons as dwellings.

Mikkelin Asumisoikeus Ltd. is a company owned by the City of Mikkeli. The company owns and manages 15 housing sites throughout the City of Mikkeli. Apartments can be found in all sizes, from a studio apartment to large family apartments.

Right-of-occupancy apartments are a real opti on when you want to live in owner-occupied housing at a reasonable cost instead of renti ng. You pay only 15% of the price of the dwelling as a right-pf-occupancy fee and you own the right to the apartment for life. When you want to give up your apartment, we will cash it back from you.
