Remarkable hand-addressed and free franked mailing panel, 5 x 3.5, addressed by Adams to his son, “John Quincy Adams, Esq., Philadelphia,” and franked in the lower right, “Free, John Adams.” The panel bears two ink-stamped postmarks, “Free” and “Boston.” Handsomely mounted, matted, and framed with an engraved portrait (featuring a facsimile signature) to an overall size of 12.75 x 19.5.
