ART IN MOVEMENT is dedicated to provide the children of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and New York, with opportunities to work on large scale art projects, using the resources found in their own environments. We are looking for the children to use the project to communicate stories and impressions, develop complex problem-solving skills, and a belief in the power of their own potential.

We want to show the children works of art, and allow them to draw their own conclusions based on what they see, and their own experiences. We want the works of art to inspire, and to spark ideas.

The Children will use art as a variable for communicating. With a low literacy rate in Haiti, we hope to use art as universal voice of the community. We believe the way this can be achieved is by using the environment surrounding them as their core resource. This is in eorts to build upon a community and to prove that a lot can be done with limited resources and education. 2. Creation

The art will stand within the environment as an expression thought of by the children. Everything from the initial ideas, planning, execution, and documenting will be done by the children. It will be a place where they are represented within their local communities. We truly believe these children have the answers to questions but there is a lack of resources to voice them. 3. Photographs taken by the children of their work, and their process, will be transported to New York for an exhibition. We want to showcase the stories and expressions of the children to a wider international community. As children's stories are not often heard, we want to provide them with a voice that will be heard internationally, though art. 4. Exhibition

Costs We have made an estimate of the costs we will encounter, and the estimated hours we will spend during the preparation, the project, and the exhibition. All the hours put in, are volunteered by our team at Art in Movement.

Revenue We are aiming to have project costs covered by sponsors and donors, and have the profits from the sales go to the development of further expansion of Art in Movement. By the development of centers in Haiti and New York, or global expansion of the project. After calculating revenue, and subtracting the total costs from the total revenue, we are left with a profit of $90,500 which will be invested in these developments.
All the profits made by the books go directly back to fund the children in Haiti
