Energy Efficient Lighting Given the multiple and varied uses for Glow, we aimed to produce a lighting system that is as efficient as it can be. Our goal was to produce a device that used very little energy and radiated as little heat as possible, all the while delivering adequate luminous flux.
Versatility and Adaptability Glow was designed to be a versatile and adaptable product to allow users to decide how they want to light up their environment. We wanted to give users the opportunity to customise to device including choosing the colour, the brightness and the location of the light source.
User Friendly Both the software and hardware was designed with the consumer in mind. We aimed to provide an easy to use software to compliment the easy assembly of the hardware.
Customisability From hardware to software, the device aimed to be as customisable as possible to better suit each environment. We aimed to design a robust software to allow for custom colours, settings and presets to work in conjunction with the customisable hardware.
Elegant Design To seamlessly integrate into the home or office setting, the components of the device were aimed to have a sleek, modern feel guided by a minimalistic design.

Light Bar High quality RGB LEDs encased in a compact, sturdy and stylish diffuser bar to effectively distribute light throughout the environment. The design incorporates good airflow to help keep the unit cool. It is easy to connect multiple light bars by using the magnetic connectors to increase the light output
LightSense Wireless light level sensor to help Glow determine the ambient lighting levels. Several sensors can be connected up together for more accurate measurements This low energy smart add-on is powered through a distinct Wi-Fi signal from the Glow Hub
MotionSense Wireless motion sensor with tunable sensitivities to help Glow activate lighting when motion is detected. It can detect motion at angles up to 180 degrees at a distance of up to 7 meters. This low energy smart add-on is powered through a distinct WiFi signal from the Glow Hub
