I watch the day light up from silence and shadows to noise and clarity.
People emerge from their homes repopulate sidewalks and streets fill the foggy outdoor world, some idle with clatter and clutter some hurry with discretion and diligence.
I must join the rhythm of life so set the coffee cup on the porch table lift myself up from my cozy armchair and climb down the sleepy stairs to merge – discreet and diligent – with the rolling crowd
into a new work day.

Observo el día iluminarse del silencio y las sombras al ruido y la claridad.
La gente sale de sus hogares repueblan aceras y calles llenan el brumoso mundo exterior, algunos holgazanean en estrépito y desorden algunos se apuran con discreción y diligencia.
Debo unirme al ritmo de la vida por eso pongo mi taza de café sobre la mesa del balcón me levanto de mi cómodo sillón y bajo las soñolientas escaleras para mezclarme – discreto y diligente – con la multitud ondulante
hacia un nuevo día de trabajo.
