Admittedly, Dr. Bady wasn’t always a believer in the proven benefits of medical cannabis, a legal, herbal drug derived from plants of the genus Cannabis used as a complementary treatment for specific ailments. “I sat on a board of doctors, and I was the one who told our partners that we will never use this. I was that guy – until I saw its miraculous benefits, firsthand,” said Dr. Bady. In 2010, Dr. Bady’s mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer and given six months to live.
