A

he introduction of new technologies in production processes, products, services, changing an accelerating pace of social behaviors and relationships between different subjects. This gives rise to changing spatial interactions that tend to evolve towards new forms of organization more complex. Change, in fact, not only the traditional location factors for businesses, residences and services but also the use of time free, resulting in new forms of congestion and again, changing facilities with economies of scale that current technologies aimed at reducing, setting in motion processes of centralization or decentralization motivated by factors not yet determined.

But above all, what initially represented only a guess, linking narrow interval between territory and telecommunications, enriched by numerous scientific contributions, today is configured as a working hypothesis of major importance on which to engage collectively for a project to redraw territorial: the wired city.

This is an idea born from the belief that, through proper use of technological innovation, you can get the redesign and simplification of the formal organization issues and land management contributing to raising the degree of liveability, safety and efficiency of urban systems and making it therefore possible governance and human survival itself.

The resource-ratio requirements, in fact, is increasingly unbalanced making it more difficult to response in terms appropriate to the “question” was born in the city and territory, especially in therefore the localization of random functions, the phenomenon of spontaneity and immobility, which have engaged the processes of concentration and sometimes degradation, and management empirical them.
