Comprehensive Clinical Services Detail interview with the patient is done to assess mental and psychological status. Discussions with family members (with the patient's consent) are a valued part of the evaluation process, who are encouraged to accompany the patient to the assessment. Based on the assessment, clinicians recommend a treatment plan to meet the specific needs of the individual. The diagnosis and treatment plan are explained to the patient and family, and treatment proceeds only with their consent. Education about the illness, treatment, relapse prevention, and recovery is provided at this stage to empower individuals and their families to be a partner in the road to recovery. Today, remarkably effective treatments are available that has vastly improved the outlook for those who do seek treatment for psychiatric Illness. While some people may require extended treatment and support services, many benefit from flexible, short-term psychotherapies and pharmacological interventions. No single treatment or approach is appropriate for all individuals. Matching treatment services to each individual's particular problems and needs is critical to a return to productive functioning in the family, workplace, and society.

Alcohol And Drugs De-addiction medical services Addiction is a chronic illness with medical, psychological, interpersonal and social components, and is often associated with stigma and social rejection. Thus, our treatment is based on the principles of dignity and respect and aims to engage patient and family members in the recovery process. Recovery, in this case involves a process of abstinence from intoxicants leading to changes in psychological state and improvement in family, interpersonal and social milieu. Patients may need to undergo an initial process of medical detoxification, ie, management of withdrawal and complications along with critical psychosocial support. Following detoxification, further assessment is carried out to formulate a plan for the prevention of relapse.

Emergency And Crisis intervention services Round-the-clock emergency and crisis intervention services, including psychiatric emergency evaluations, walk-in crisis therapy, referral to outpatient providers, and facilitation of inpatient admissions are provided. Patients and their family members meet with a team that includes a medical doctor, Clinical Psychologist and nurse. The team then works together to determine the best options for treatment. If you have a mental health related crisis, contact our Emergency Services.

Violence If you or anyone else is in immediate danger of physical harm, contact the police. The police is generally very sympathetic to issues of mental illness. Dial 100 to contact the police in an emergency. The patient can be rushed to the nearest mental health facility with appropriate documents.

Involuntary Admission Some patients, whose judgment may be grossly impaired at times (due to their mental illness) may become a danger to either themselves or others and refuse any medical help. In such situations, therapeutic intervention or even detention in a psychiatric facility against the patient's wishes may become necessary.

Psychological services Trained Clinical Psychologists assess disorders and provide intervention in the form of counseling and psychotherapy to deal with the problems. The primary areas in which assessments conducted are: ¤ Intelligence & Development ¤ Scholastic/ Aptitude test ¤ Psychological / Diagnostic assessment ¤ Neuropsychological Assessment ¤ Behaviour / Personality assessment

Psychological intervention focuses on providing counseling, education, cognitive behavior therapy, and supportive therapy to help individuals enhance their coping skills, social and interpersonal skills. Further, retraining of neurological functions is also provided for clients with neurological deficits. Child centered services are provided to improve developmental process, scholastic performance, enhancement of attention and concentration, modify behavior problems and for personality development.

School Mental Health The school is a training ground for students to learn essential life skills in various areas like social, personal, interpersonal and academics. In this training, teachers are a significant source of influence along with parents.
