Nic has layered three tags together

to create a small flip-album, perfect for favourite summer or vacation photos. The front tag is embellished with a variety of gorgeous flowers in fresh summer colours, layered vines and vintage trinkets, giving the perfect place to

add one of our mixed media dolls, created with a variety of our popular Sunrise Sunset papers.

reader’s gallery “i am in love with u 2” Adrienne Ford

( USA )

“Part of the fun of creating a layout is finding inspiration. I typically enjoy scouring the internet for new and fun colors and palettes to match my needs and tastes. For this particular layout I was inspired to create something bold in color and fresh for spring. For my background treatment, I have used my Gesso and a stencil to get a unique background. I then custom created my colors of art mediums to get a bold hue over top. A fine tip marker was used to define my stencil techniques. For my cluster I started from the top left and worked my way down at a slant, balancing my design with various flowers of different textures, colors and sizes. I love the

bold splashes of color from the flowers balanced with the subtle, yet unique background.

“I have always been in love with Prima’s roses.

Any type, big or small will do me, I have an incredible stash of them,

I just can’t get enough. I loved this little Instagram pic of my boys and I, taken a couple of months back. I love being the rose in my home between all of my thorns! I was inspired by the brick wall the boys are sitting on for the background of my page, I used the brick wall mask with some texture paste and loads of Shimmerz. I then placed

my roses along the bottom of my photo in a vine effect.

“This layout captures one adorable moment of my niece’s life. She was in a park and the sunlight was softly touching her skin. I chose to portray it with a gorgeous Prima bouquet and all the beautiful rose images that I could find in the lyric and Hello Pastel lines. I’ve finished up by adding bling, birds and butterfly embellishments for a shabby appeal.

“memories to enjoy”

Janine Koczwara

( AUSTRALIA )

“This layout utilizes the Prima Distress tool heavily, from the deeply distressed edges around the border of the project, to using the side distress blade on the tool to get into the “pits” of the curves on the photo mat, as well as using the wire brush on the end to add a little bit of distressing to the photograph. All of

this distressing results in a very shabby chic layered page with a pretty feminine look.

“I do love the Prima Distressing Tool as it is so versatile and very handy to use. As my style is pretty grungy and I am more drawn to a rough look of my projects I use the Distressing Tool a lot. For this layout I used the rasper of the Distressing Tool to distress the edges of the Engraver Paper, then I used several Chalk Edgers to ink the edges. After coloring the whole page in pink and crumbling and forming it I went over the creases again with the Distress tool to reveal some white paper core and give it even more dimension. I altered the photo by using the wire brush of my Distressing Tool and

scratching off the background in a patterned manner. Then I used Prima Chalk Edgers again to color the background in.

What inspired you to go into the scrapbooking industry and what is the part that you enjoy the best? Well, Sally has been scrapbooking for some time and I had been doing graphic design for a newspaper, and we both valued memory keeping. I can’t remember exactly what brought it all together, but here we are, and we are both so grateful for it.

Do you personally scrapbook? If so, what are your favorite types of projects? Yes, we do. And we tend to like and use products that are similar to the stuff we create (yikes, that sounds arrogant! LOL), vintagey stuff that feels familiar and worn.

What other industries have your designs been featured in? You can find our designs on fabric, framed art and home decor!
