Building skills and awareness through recreational and educational play.

Your child will grow and develop through a variety of activities that emphasize social, physical, intellectual and emotional development while using the recreation centre’s variety of resources. Physical and Outdoor activity is included. Children must be 3 years old and toilet trained by the start date. The theme focus is on healthy active living. This program is governed by municipal procedures and guidelines. For scheduled payments on a credit card, please call 604-927-PLAY to register. Healthy snacks included.

Extend your preschoolers experience and prepare them for kindergarten by adding a connect class after playschool. Ensure to pack a lunch. Children grow and build friendships through PLAY and eating together.

Early learning progressions: We would love to help you with your child’s early learning experience and preparation for Kindergarten. Tips for special big people – Establish consistent routines, let your child know the plan, monitor your child’s behavior and be aware of your own attitude or influence over situations. Children Services wants to ease the pressure on families. Playschool Connect Program: Your child feels great in our Playschool program but are you looking for more time? Try Connect Play to start the progression into preparing your child for Kindergarten. A slow progression prepares children to accept the changes that will occur. Planning ahead assists with transition ease. Prep for K: Playschool Rec Complex and Hyde Creek for 4 days a week plus 4 – Connect Play Programs. What a great way to prepare and ease the transition into full day Kindergarten for your little one.
