With a winemaking history that spans five generations, in 1993 the Argyrides family embarked on the transformation of the listed 200-year-old family home into a state-of-the-art boutique winery that proudly cultivates 100% of its own grapes in the renowned terroir of Laona.

As with all heritage endeavors, Argyrides Vineyards combine their respect for their roots with an appreciation of contemporary high standards, blending a love of wine with the intricacies of modern viticulture. Today, eight hectares are dedicated to six carefully chosen varietals, including the 45-year-old Mourvèdre and Maratheftiko vines.

The modern winery is the legacy of Pambos Argyrides, who joined his father in 1986 to share their common passion for making wine. The first production was a failure, but only spurred the desire to perfect the process from point zero: the vineyards.

In 2011, his daughters Rebecca and Andriana, together with their mother, continue his dream and legacy. The combined expertise of the winery’s dedicated team and their professional external consultants ensures that the future of Argyrides winemaking is in the best hands.

reds This deep ruby coupage aged in French oak barrels presents intense green pepper and red berry aromas with hints of smoke, chocolate and pimento. Medium to full-bodied with a pleasing after-taste and good ageing potential.

Single vineyard wine with rich aromas of berries and chocolate combined with attractive earthy notes. At 45 years of age, the Argyrides Mourvèdre vines provide good acidity and ageing potential for this mellow red with its sweet spice lingering finish.

reds This indigenous grape grown in prime terroir at an altitude of 1050mm spends a year in French oak barrels. This medium to full-bodied wine with warm aromas of sweet spice, blackcurrant and cherry. The acidity is balanced and the wine has a satisfying long finish.
