INTRODUCTION 2013 ANNUAL REPORT To the Members of the Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Management and staff of Promise Keepers Canada - I wish to welcome you to our Annual General Meeting. It is a great honour, challenge, and privilege to be chairman of the board of Promise Keepers Canada and work alongside so many dedicated people of God in a ministry so needed and important to Canadian men and their families, and to our country as a whole. This past year has seen a lot of change and opportunity, and all of you have worked and prayed together to accomplish much in each area of ministry. As we look forward we are both challenged and encouraged as God continues to open new doors where we can serve the men of Canada. As a board, we have been focused on preparing the ministry for growth by making sure we have all aspects of operations and governance in good standing with Government regulations, the Canadian Council of Christian Charities, our constituents, and supporters across the country. The better we are prepared, the more God can use us. During this past year we have seen the importance of the Advisory Board continue to grow as an important link between the grass roots of PKC and the leadership. Many of you have stepped up and given much in the areas of advice, communication, and expertise to many areas of the ministry and we are stronger, and will be stronger and better prepared for the future because of you men. The advisory board represents every area of the country and many different cultures too, and will help us to better minister to every man in Canada. We hope to see even more diversification on the advisory board in the future. Kirk and his team have and continue to impress me with their keen sense of management, marketing, administration, and intuitiveness in delivering every aspect of the Mission and Vision to our constituents and to as many Canadian men as possible while maintaining our core values in every area. Going forward every one of us involved with PKC needs to pray and get prepared for the ‘Next Steps’ of the ministry. If we do the man-sized job, He will do the God sized job and see one million men in Canada serving the Lord and changing our land as they do. We have the basic structure, the values, the team, the servant attitude, and humble leadership to accomplish His purpose for us. Men, for the year ahead, I challenge and encourage everyone of us here as leaders to: diligently pray, get prepared, and have great faith and expectations for this year and the years ahead for Promise Keepers Canada as we love, honour, and obey Him. Thanks again so very much for all you do. It is truly a privilege to serve our Lord Jesus Christ, and do so with such a dedicated team of people. Randy Collins Board Chairman

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:4)

FROM THE PRESIDENT: One year ago, our staff began to pray that the coming year would be the most fruitful year in the history of Promise Keepers Canada. In John 15, we are reminded that we can do nothing apart from Jesus and that our role in bearing fruit is to abide in Him. Abiding is a perfect balance between resting in His love for us and obeying what He has called us to do. From a pure numbers perspective, the past year will seem to be a disappointment to some. We experienced a downturn in attendance for many of our conferences, were just able to cover our budget, and had to make some adjustments to our staffing responsibilities. In addition, many of our team members experienced some incredible spiritual battles during the year. However, I believe that God may ultimately answer this prayer with a resounding “Yes!” Here is why I say that. As a team, we grew to a new level of prayer through a special day of prayer and fasting for the ministry and men of Canada. We experienced God stretching us and shaping us for greater things in the future. As an organization, we helped over 10,000 men understand what it looks like to be “Alive” in Christ. We also spent the year preparing the way for a major emphasis to engage men in representing God the Father’s heart to the fatherless children of our country. Our partnership with Power to Change ministries called men to a greater commitment to Jesus Christ through “The Life” Challenge, and provided tools and resources to help them reach their friends with the message of Jesus. These events and resources not only assisted men to “abide in Christ” but also are creating opportunities for them to multiply beyond what we may ever visibly see on this earth. We know that it is important for men to be encouraged and equipped all year as they “abide in Christ” and that is why we continue to be committed to strengthening our PK@Home ministry and resources available to local churches as they serve men each and every week. We believe that all of these things have planted a seed, and that much more fruit for God’s Kingdom will come as a result. Thank you for standing with us in your prayers, time, and financial support. Together – by abiding in Christ - we will Leave No Man Behind!

MEASURING SUCCESS Promise Keepers Canada measures success by using what is known as the Balanced Scorecard approach. We have modified this to fit a ministry environment and are regularly evaluating ourselves in four key areas: CORE VALUES

CORE VALUES

ANNUAL DASHBOARD

Annual survey to measure how people believe we are doing in living out our Core Values.

ANNUAL DASHBOARD

How we are doing in accomplishing the overall ministry objectives - measuring key numbers that reveal trends.

SPIRITUAL FRUIT

Ongoing surveys to measure how men are doing in relation to the seven promises.

CORE VALUES Our goal at Promise Keepers Canada is to see men mature in living out the Seven Promises, while exhibiting spiritual fruit (Gal. 5: 22,23). In order to accomplish this goal, there are four Core Values we must live by. To help gauge our effectiveness in living out our Core Values, we surveyed various members of our team for their honest opinion of how we’re doing as a ministry. (These results are a summary of a much more exhaustive survey.)

MINISTRY PROGRAMS Our mission is to Ignite and Equip men to have a Godly Impact. This fuels our ministry programs with three areas of focus -- IGNITE, EQUIP, IMPACT. Everything we do as a ministry is focused on accomplishing at least one of these three goals.

IGNITE. EQUIP. IMPACT. 13

MINISTRY PROGRAMS 2013 ANNUAL REPORT

IGNITE

This past year we held ALIVE National Men’s Conferences in cities coast to coast; from St. John’s, NL to Victoria, BC. Over 10,000 men were encouraged to become fully alive in Christ.

EQUIP

While events are a starting point, we recognize there is a need to minister to men beyond the conference, through resources available at home. This past year, the PK@Home ministry reached almost 55,000 men. 16

All the resources we provide through PK@Home -- from SEVEN Magazine to Men of Integrity Devotionals to audio messages -- are also available online. There is also exclusive online content as well as videos, podcasts, and articles, all available for free. This year our website had almost 70,000 unique visits, and we now have over 4,000 social media followers.

Through SEVEN Magzine, Men of Integrity, and audio messages, we covered topics such as The Supernatural, Music, Marriage, Parenting, Prayer, Tolerance, Health, The Great

LOOKING AHEAD | 2013-2014 A mobile app and website are in the works and will be released later this year. The use of mobile phones has exploded in the last several years, and there is an ever-increasing need to reach men through this technology. We’re also exploring new ways to reach young men. Stay tuned for more exciting news. 17

EQUIP

We also partner with the local church to help them effectively minister to the men in their congregation. Whether it be through workshops, small group studies, or Valentine’s Day and Father’s Day devotionals, our goal is to see every man grow as a disciple of Jesus. 18

This year’s Valentine’s Day and Father’s Day devotionals were very well received. Thanks to the partnership of hundreds of churches across the country, 25,000 couples received our Marriage Celebration Valentine’s Day devotionals this year. Father’s Day had an even greater response with over 27,000 men receiving

IMPACT

One of the greatest issues here in Canada where men can and are making an impact is Fatherlessness. This past year we hosted Fatherless Forums in 10 cities from coast to coast, with 96 participants attending. We are pulling together different action items including The Fatherless Project. 20

LOOKING AHEAD | 2013-2014 Over the coming year we are looking to implement The Fatherless Project in communities across the country – providing a bridge for men from the local church to volunteer in community agencies working with fatherless children. We have also partnered with EduDeo once again for a short-term missions trip to Nicaragua in January, as well as a trip back to Belize in April. 21
