Dr. Preecha Ruengchan was raised in Pichit, one of the southernmost provinces in northern Thailand and comes from a truly agricultural family. Upon completion of his basic education at a temple school in Pichit, he applied for and was granted a place in the Faculty of Economics at Chulalongkorn University, from which he later graduated with a doctoral degree in the Organizational Development Department. He started his political career with an appointment as Assistant Director in the administration of Pichit, gradually working his way up to governor of that province. Here Dr. Preecha describes how he interprets his priorities regarding his governorship of Phuket with particular regard to the tourism industry.

The scope of being Governor of Phuket with particular regard to Tourism My number one priority as Governor of this island is to ensure the continued welfare and prosperity of all Phuketians. We all know that Phuket is now a major tourist destination and we have to work hard to maintain that status, both to attract new visitors and to make those that already know Phuket want to come back time and again. In this way we also look after ourselves, after all, without tourists Phuket cannot continue to survive in its present form. Phuket has many attractions but perhaps three are of particular value. First there is the natural beauty of the island, surrounded by clear seas with wonderful coral reefs. Second, there is its history including the legend of the Two Heroines, tin mining, the Chinese expat community and much more. Finally there is the inherent generosity and open-heartedness of the Thai people who live here. We have to ask ourselves; “Why should people want to come to Phuket?” and the answer must lie in the islands ‘uniqueness’. The sort of tourist that comes here does not want a Las Vegas style holiday destination, so instead we should concentrate on emphasizing our strong points such as I have mentioned above, to attract the right kind of visitor who is going to leave with fond memories and a strong desire to return.

My vision for the future of the Tourism Industry Nowadays it seems that Phuket has lost much of its identity and we are in danger of ruining its future and the well being of our descendants. Right now we eat good fish, but if we are not careful, we may leave nothing but the bones for our children. Our first priority must be to preserve the natural resources of the island. Much of the old Phuket ‘atmosphere’ has been lost and we have to rewind the tape to get it back, then fast forward to a fresher, purer, future so that tourists will wish to continue to be our guests. Obviously I cannot do this alone and really need the co-operation of all Phuketians.

The first priorities to enhance Tourism in Phuket We have to be proactive in promoting Phuket as a safe destination for tourists as well as an exciting, beautiful and welcoming place to visit. We should provide more activities for tourists such as sporting competitions, events and conferences. This coming May we will be hosting the World Diving Conference and will have the opportunity to show just how beautiful the underwater world around Phuket is. Many places such as Bali, Singapore, Dubai and Brazil hold such events and Phuket should not be left behind. We have to launch more activities and festivals to attract more tourists and we need to make them so memorable that our guests want to come back again and again. Finally we have to construct our industry so that it will have a long and prosperous future. We have a beautiful island and we have to keep it that way to ensure that coming generations will also profit from its potential. When golfers hear the name “Jon Morrow” the Red Mountain Golf Course most likely comes to mind, but it’s not the only golf course he has designed in Phuket. For most Thai businessmen and professionals a golf course of international standard is their first priority. That’s why Jon Morrow was asked to design Phuket: Phunaka, a course which has brought a different dimension to golf in Phuket. 8 Million Baht. The property market doesn’t stand still.” He has been associated with many projects both in Phuket and Bangkok. “I was involved with the building of The Islandia Park Resort in Karon in 1991. Then I went north to undertake projects in Bangkok” he commented. In 2004 he started Sinsukthani; a company building two different styles of contemporary houses with each being available in either a single or a two storyed version. Now as a result of his love of golf he has taken another step on a different career path: the 9-hole Phunaka Golf Course which, due to their countries strong currencies is largely funded by investors from Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan.

huketindex.com had a chance to talk with the Managing Director of Phunaka Golf Course, Suwat Wangkiat who graduated from Prince of Songkla University Hadyai Campus with a degree in Electronic Engineering. “I worked for Thai Takenaka International Ltd. controlling the set ups for the electronic and water supply systems before I moved to

Afterward I headed back to my Phuket home and have been in the property business ever since.” Suwat continued “In 1988 when I built a 3-floor commercial building in Karon comprising of 115 units, each unit only cost 800,000 Baht But these days if you asked for the same unit each would cost at least

So he allocated 130 rai to a 9-hole golf course and the remaining 50 to a 300 yard driving range. The 9 hole course is “A Night Golf Course”, the first and only one in Phuket. It is designed to suit those who work during the day but still wish to play golf afterwards and also attracts ladies who do not want a suntan! “Phuket now has 6 golf courses including Phunaka, and most golfers want to play on each course so I don’t see Phunaka as being in competition with other courses”

Suwat observed. “We launched it to support the ever increasing market for golf and make golfing options more interesting.” Every golf course has its own challenges and though Phunaka has no big trees for golfers to avoid, the grass and the wind are both challenging. Suwat then revealed he plans to begin building 250 condominiums next June. Many of his customers come from Korea and Japan. They arrive on Friday evening, play night golf and spend Saturday and Sunday morning playing day golf before flying back on Sunday evening. “We want this place to be a relaxation complex so we will provide them with a place to stay and a course on which to play all in one spot” he said. He also wants to develop the golfing potential of the region’s young by establishing a golfing school. “It would be great if Phuket had a golf school. It’s situated in a perfect location so when parents come to Phuket on business, they could send their children to golf school, to improve their swing. Right now there are so many direct flights from foreign countries to Phuket. I think a golf school would be a good business opportunity” he said. He told us if Phunaka Golf Course and condominium complex is

successful he will immediately begin his next project. “Many of my customers especially from Scandinavia used to ask me why didn’t I build a hotel or resort in a pretty spot I have in Karon. So when the time is right, I obviously must satisfy my customers’ demands again” he joked. He is always busy but when he has free time, of course, he spends it playing golf. “I have been playing golf for approximately 24 years. I don’t play seriously, I play because I love the game. I’m lucky that my

hobby and business ultimately are the same,” he added with a smile. “My family live in Australia, in Sydney, but when we have time, we play golf together here at Phunaka.” Today Suwat is a professional in the property business and a golfing amateur. Phuket has the good fortune to welcome Ken Harayama the Director of Ashtanga Yoga Japan and co-founder of the International Yoga Centre Japan. From January 12th to February 20th Ken will hold special classes for Ashtanga Yoga and Pranayama Practice at Sukko Cultural Spa and Wellness Resort.

huketindex.com grasped this once in a blue moon opportunity to have an interview with him, the first Japanese certified to teach Ashtanga by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (a Grand Master from India). Here is what we learned. Please tell us what Ashtanga Yoga is exactly? Actually all kinds of Yoga are based on Ashtanga. It comes from an ancient text called ‘Yoga Sutras’ by Yogi Patanjali, the second chapter of which is about how you practice Yoga. It says Yoga is Ashtanga; ‘ashta’ meaning ‘eight’ and ‘anga’ meaning ‘limb’ in Urdu. In other words, there are ‘eight limbs’, or disciplines, to follow. The Ashtanga or eight limbs are described by Patanjali as: - Yama (abstinences) - Niyama (observances) - Asanas (postures) - Pranayama (breath control) - Pratyahara (sense withdrawal) - Dharana (concentration) - Dhyana (meditation) - Samadhi (contemplation) What is the heart of Ashtanga Yoga? Ashtanga is not only the practice of postures or positions. It’s all about a way of life including morning exercise, working, the way you eat, and the way you think. All of these are related to it, so try to understand the eight limbs and you will understand Ashtanga. Then practice it in daily life.

Describe the Ashtanga postures practice? I learned the Pattabi Jois Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system from Pattabi himself. It is mainly focused on dynamic connecting postures. Doing the posture (Asanas) combined with the breathing (Pranayama) is the way to practice.

How did you become interested in Yoga? I used to be a trading company owner. I worked very hard and suffered far too much stress. Then I discovered Yoga and practiced Iyengar Yoga for three years before switching to Ashtanga which I practiced for two years before opening my studio fifteen years ago. Even now I’m still learning.

How does Ashtanga Yoga help?

Can anyone practice Ashtanga Yoga?

I think all kinds of Yoga can help a person in the same way. When you do the postures, your body is getting stronger, more flexible and better balanced. The breathing helps to create energy and stimulate the nervous system, and as a consequence the mind is more conscious and awake.

Everyone can practice Ashtanga but you have to learn how. Your teacher will help you with this; just come and join then learn. You do not need to have practiced yoga before, beginners are always welcome. Can one do it alone?

Yes you can. It’s one of the rules. The position of the sun and the moon affects our lives and we believe that on moon days (both full moon and new moon) the energy level changes too much. With a new moon, our energy will drop considerably while a full moon gives a surplus of energy, but not well grounded. So avoid practicing Ashtanga on these two days to avoid injury. Instead, you can spend this time praying to show your appreciation of the sun and the moon.

Now you know how good Ahstanga Yoga is, and how literally anyone can do it, don’t you want to get started? Get to Know Ken Harakuma Ken is the Director of Ashtanga Yoga Japan and co-founder of the International Yoga Center Japan. A surfer since high school, he has a black belt in Shorinji Kempo martial arts. He has journeyed to the North Pole and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. His destiny led him to health-related training: practicing Tai Chi, Thai Massage, Therapy & Chiropractic Sports Massage, and Reiki Master Certification. He has been practicing yoga for many years and continuously studying with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and R Sharath at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore, India. Ken is the first Japanese teacher authorized by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois to teach the Ashtanga Vinyasa method. He is presently practicing the Advanced Series under their guidance. He supervised the translation (into Japanese) of Sriya Namaskar and Yoga Mala by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and wrote “The Spirit of Ashtanga Yoga” (in Japanese). He also invited R Sharat to Japan in 2005 & 2007 for his workshop in Tokyo.

Dr. Kongkiat: How did you become interested in the area of hair transplantation? Hair transplantation was an area that interested me because we have less qualified Doctors in Thailand interested in this area than most parts of the developed world. However, this withstanding, Thailand’s is the only training centre besides the US that is certified by ISHRS.

Dr. Kongkiat: Please tell us a bit about the subject? Hair transplantation has been successfully performed for over 40 years and is the only method of restoring hair which gives natural results and will last a life time. It is a surgical technique that involves moving permanent skin containing hair follicles from the back and/or sides of the scalp (the donor site) to the bald or thinning area of the scalp (the recipient site). The procedure does not have long term side effects. Medication however may be provided after the procedure to help prevent and maintain future loss of existing hairs. But after surgery, there is no additional care needed on the transplanted hair; you are able to treat it like your ordinary hair, shape it, cut it, dye it or do whatever you want because it is your own hair. Moreover as opposed to treatments provided in aesthetic clinics, hair transplantation is considered a part of a medical treatment.

Health & Beauty Health Care Dr. Kongkiat: Could you be a bit more specific about the options available? There are two kinds of hair replacement options; firstly, hair piece and secondly, hair system. Hair piece (also known as ‘a wig’) tends to cover all of the head, whereas a hair system is designed to cover the balding area only. Unlike the hair piece, if you choose the hair system which involves sewing a wig into existing hair, you will need to see a technician every month to help you take care of your replaced hair, since it is not possible to do yourself. The maintenance cost for hair replacement is high in the long term, therefore surgery is often considered the smarter option as a onetime investment can last a life time. And the hair loss problem itself? Hair loss is more often seen in males than females; reasons include hormonal and hereditary factors. In Thailand, statistics tell us 30-40% of Thai males face hair loss when they reach the ages of between 40 and 50 years of age. The percentage for females is far less and the age at which they are affected also similarly varies. Dr. Kongkiat: How can a person tell if they are suffering hair loss? Khun Satien’s first project in Phuket – ‘Kamala Regent’ offers 6 unit villas (sold out) and 79 condominium units in four 6-storey buildings. On his entrance into the condominium market Khun Satien tells us “Initially we became interested in condominiums because when we entered the market there was not many condominium projects in Phuket. Moreover, our project is situated at one of the best locations, yet its price is positioned at around 5 Million Baht. For we believe in doing this we make the decision process easy – something which in turn encourages our clients as the price is affordable.” Regarding his thoughts on his company’s strengths, Khun Satien believes ‘it’s our idea’ that Kamala Regent is designed under a modern concept and on a black and white colour basis. This traditionally is something of a challenge for Kamala Regent’s designers for if it is not done correctly there is a danger that ‘lonesomeness and gloom’ can pervade. However, if it is done correctly then it provides something different which will give it an advantage in a competitive market. Kamala Regent has opted for the highest quality materials throughout and has also provided a larger parking space than required by law; the reason: “Our working principle is to give the customers more than what they have paid for and -take care of them as if they are not yet our customers.” The G-1 group comprises of several companies, whose specialisation includes the areas of design,

Regarding his outlook on the market, Khun Satien states “The demand for condominiums in Phuket will continue to increase. Equally, I think the Condominium Act may be adjusted to allow more ownership for foreigners in the near future. Banyan Tree Historical: In 1984 Laguna Resorts & Hotels, acquired land on the site of an abandoned tin mine in Bang Tao Bay, Phuket. With the vision “a gold mine from a tin mine”, the following years saw an extensive rehabilitation of the site and opening of two Laguna Hotels. In 1994, Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts Pte Ltd was established, and Executive Chairman Ho Kwon Ping decided to launch a global hotel brand targeting high-end travelers. Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts was then set-up to build and manage luxury boutique hotels and resorts, steeped in Asian tradition and sensitivity to the environment. As such, the company’s flagship property Banyan Tree Phuket was launched, and within the resort were the first Banyan Tree Spa and Banyan Tree Gallery. Francois Huet is French and family man who really enjoy spend his personal time with his family. He told us his background before becoming the Area General Manager of Banyan Tree Phuket ‘I started

my career in Food and Beverage which is all about offering a dream around gastronomy, being Area General Manager is to expand the dream around the resort.’ Before joining the Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts in 2002 Francois Huet was the General Manager of the Banyan Tree Vibbinfaru in Maldives, Banyan Tree Bintan in Indonesia, Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort, and previously had spent 12 years working with the Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts Group. ‘Living in different countries, cultures and lifestyle is the best way to learn how to adapt to different workplace’ He commented. Throughout our conversation, we felt his friendliness as his staff passed by and greeted him, every time he returned their greeting. Technically he may be the head of the resort but the way he works is that he treats each staff member as a colleague not a subordinate. ‘We have to work as a team, there’s no other option’ he added with smile on his face. We asked him about many new hotels opening these days and he mentioned that ‘I find competition is the most stimulating tool to constantly improve the quality of your product and yourself. s we know, Phuket has become more and more popular in the past few years with a steadily growing population and people constantly moving in and out of the island. As a result we see quite a number of removals companies being established, but some regrettably with little or no experience in the field. Phuketindex.com decided to have an interview with Wuth Olan-nukraw of ‘Big Move Phuket’, to get his views on the industry. Khun Wuth started in the business by working for a foreign owned freight forwarding company for 5 years but several years ago he decided to set up his own Storage and Removals Company named ‘Andaman Business Express’, He now has the franchise to operate ‘Big Move Phuket’, just one branch of ‘Big Move Thailand’. Although Andaman Business Express offers a wide range of services, Big Move Phuket focuses more on relocation. As Khun Wuth says: “I think it is better to specialize in one thing instead of trying to do too much as many other companies seem to be trying to do. When it comes to moving specialists, I hope the public will think of us first.” “To build a good reputation, our company is committed to the same standard of excellence as the other Big Move branches all over Thailand.” Khun Wuth employs a full time team of certified packers based at his office. “We have our own standard operating procedures. Some companies out there choose to outsource low-cost casual labourers but we do not, and for that reason our clients are less at

If we lose or damage something, it is our responsibility and if we fail to accept it, our client will talk and by word of mouth, our business will fail.” Moreover, Khun Wuth is urging other companies to accept the same responsibility. “If they want to be successful, they have to invest.”

hen it comes to electrical products or Automatic Lighting Control and Security Systems one of the pioneers of this technology in Southern Thailand is Complete Electrical Solutions Co., Ltd. (CES). Our IT talk this issue was very pleased to have Khun Prasert Sutthiparinyanon, General Manager of CES with us to chat about his business and the industry. After graduation from university Khun Prasert initially worked for the ABB Group, a technology based provider of power and automation products, systems, solutions and services. Later he moved to Lighting and Equipment PCL, then later still, Philips (Thailand) before deciding to branch out on his own and start up CES.

rue freedom is hard to find in this modern world where commitment in one way or another is inevitable. Have you ever dreamed of taking forever to grow up on a tropical island of beauty and tranquility? Phuket can give you that dream. The Thai word for ‘freedom’ is ‘issara’, and who better to guide you to your dream than a man whose very name means freedom – Songkran Issara The Charn Issara Group is one of Thailand’s leading real estate developers which has been in the industry for over two decades and has extensive experience. The company was founded by Charn Issara but Songkran, his third son, is now at the helm and projecting its prosperity into the second generation. Phuketindex.com had the good fortune to meet Khun Songkran and what follows is what we learned from him. Songkran Issara was born in Songkhla Province but later moved to Bangkok to become a boarder at Vajiravudh College. On completion of his junior high school, he then went to the United States for further high school and a university education, graduating after a few years with a Masters Degree in Economics from Indiana University, Pennsylvania. With his formal education complete, he flew back to Thailand and began his career with Citicorp Finance & Security Thailand. Before long however, he left Citicorp and joined his father to help running the family business. Here is what he has to say about business, life and happiness:

On Charn Issara’s beginning It was my father who was involved in the construction business before me but we also previously had businesses in gas stations, transportation, and selling some petroleum products like Bitumen to the government. When I joined my father about 25 years ago, I started with Charn Issara Tower I, the first high rise building in Bangkok and many projects followed after that. On the projects of the company Since Charn Issara Development PCL was established by the Charn Issara Group in December 1989, we have offered a number of property development projects to the market. We have branched out into office buildings, residential condominiums, shop homes, town homes, single homes, pool villa hotels, industrial estates and shopping arcades. Our on going projects are another Charn Issara Tower, Issara Ladprao, Issara @ 42 Sukhumvit, Sri panwa Phuket, Baan Chaan Talay Cha-am, Baan Issara Rama 9 and Baan Ploen Talay. On our working principles We put our hearts in what we do. We don’t aim to make a great profit from our projects but we try our best to meet both our and our customer’s satisfactions since I do believe that ‘the more we give, the more we get’. For a working ethic we hold on to passion, honesty and teamwork.

On his motto for life;

When we meet a problem, we do not panic even when it looks very critical at first. We try to examine every aspect and detail, and we always find that there is a solution somewhere. We have surmounted thousands of problems in this way, some small and some big, such as the Tom Yam Kung crisis, but one thing to remember is ‘experience will teach you’ as it has taught us through every difficulty we have faced.

My life is guided by Honesty, supported by Unity, and sustained by Health. Just the same as our company’s motto.

On getting along with staff Right now I have almost 200 staff working directly under my control. In order to work together, sincerity is very important in my opinion and as we grow and become a bigger organisation, we need our employees to help us as much as we help them. With our well designed working system, we allocate tasks with trust and our people apply themselves to those tasks with their hearts. In this way, we can all win as a team. On taking care of himself I strive to find a balance between my working and my personal life and do as the old saying goes: ‘work hard, play hard’. For that reason, my daily routine is usually to wake up around five or five thirty in the morning, spend time on chanting and meditation for 20 minutes, then go out to play golf or tennis until eight. I arrive at the office at nine and after finishing work in the evening, take the time to work out physically if I didn’t do so in the morning. Now I have taken up Yoga in addition to golf, tennis and swimming.

On things he would like to do I think I have already achieved what I would like to do, but to do it again would be to appreciate it to a greater degree. I like to travel, always keen to go yachting, skiing, or partake in other adventurous pastimes which can provide an escape to health and inner balance. We, our family and friends, often have trips which mostly are closer to nature than to say, shopping. In particular, I like to see the world, see people in other places, and observe how others run their lives and businesses whilst doing so.

B

esides being a businessman, Khun Songkran is also a father to his 3 children born with life’s mate Mrs. Srivara. They have two sons and a little daughter and are named Vorasit (Pla-wan), Dhitavat (Pla-tu) and Krachpeth (Pla-khem) respectively. In raising his children, Khun Songkran rejected the traditional Thai value of subjecting children to extra tutorial courses saying: “I don’t believe in this, I don’t like my children to take any extra courses. Instead, on every weekend, our family will take time to escape from Bangkok to anywhere else, sometimes Cha-am, or sometimes Pak-chong in Nakorn-rachasima.” Khun Songkran believes that Thailand’s education system has many inherent problems and for this reason he decided to send his children to study abroad from when they were young. “At nine or ten years-old, they were sent to England. It was my intention to give them the best education because in doing this I believe I’ve given them the best opportunity in life as well. I don’t mind really if one day they don’t want to continue our business, as I know they have their own thoughts. When they were young, they were just like me, naughty sometimes but in a level that we could control. They would be punished when they did something wrong since I did not want to spoil them. Actually, compared to their friends, what we gave them seems to be less, but I think it’s better than to see them growing up to be vacuous.” recalls Khun Songkran.

In thinking back to his own childhood Khun Songkran recalls, “I had to fight all the time. From Hadyai to Bangkok, I was seen as a bumpkin but after a while things started getting better. Then I was sent to America and there I had to deal with racism. I always had to prove myself, either working at Citibank, working with my father, or working for myself. Thailand’s real estate industry has a very seriously competitive industry but luckily, I was crafted to be competitive, thus I got use to it, and I want all of my children to be the same.” Khun Songkran’s youngest child and only daughter is still studying Textile in England, but both of his sons are now back in Thailand and have jumped into the fight alongside their father, even though they were given the opportunity to choose their own ways. What Khun Songkran wants to see from his children is ‘family unity’ more than for them to be a great success. “They can lose, they can fail, but I want to see that they are good persons and love each other. If they are successful but fight with each other, I’d prefer to watch them fail.” Khun Songkran has now reached the state of what others call success, but when he was asked about this he said: “For me, money is not everything in life but happiness is. It’s true if you have money in the pocket, you will be able to spend it easily, but that’s not a guarantee of happiness. They say ‘Happiness belongs to those who learn how to be happy’. If you learn to find happiness easily from daily life, you will find it’s harder to get into difficulties. Phuket International Women’s Club A brighter future for underprivileged children This issue Phuketindex.com grasped an opportunity to meet with somebody from Phuket International Women’s Club; Khun Sue Arnulphy (Present President) and Khun Wipa Tanmanatrakul (Vice President and Treasurer) to learn more about their club and also help raise their public awareness. Background: PIWC is a non-profit organisation which was established in 1989 by a small group of ladies. The club has since provided financial assistance for up to 550 children and is now in its 20th year. Khun Wipa provides further information about its purposes “We are a group of international women who get together for friendship and to learn more about Phuket and its culture. We have a wide range of activities and social events for members as well as the charity.” Wipa Tanmanatrakul & Sue Arnulphy from PIWC

About the Charity? “Amongst other activities we have monthly lunch to collect money which we then donate to the charity. Help on scholarships for the children then varies from kindergarten to university level. Through the help of local teachers - needy children who study hard and really need help - will be selected and submitted to us. Then our committee will review their suggestions before allocating the money on an annual basis with nothing wanted in return but the child’s school grades.” From further conversation, we learn that for small children the club concentrates on helping with their ‘lunch’ requirements whilst providing a full scholarship for those who are at higher levels. Due to PIWC’s efforts at fund-raising events and the kindness of donors and sponsors, they have provided many children with better opportunities in education. Allowing many to qualify as pharmacists, dentists, teachers, engineers, doctors or scientists to name just a few. Khun Wipa informs us quotes she has heard from PIWC members on the matter range from ‘They are all really good students with a good mind and a good thoughts’ to ‘Frequently we’re in tears when we do the interview – for some of these children are not very bright but they still need education and that’s all we want to do - give them a better education so that they can help themselves and have a better life.’ Apart from the financial support given from PIWC, these children are encouraged to help themselves

by working part time. ‘That impresses us’ – Khun Wipa tells us for example ‘We have one student at Chulalongkorn University, who tutors other students after his class to earn spending money’. ‘Also some students work night shifts, though the pay is low and they have to come back and study in the Morning!’ ‘So when we saw we said to ourselves we should help.’ Khun Wipa tell us proudly ‘I can say it is not a commercial venture at all!’ with Khun Sue adding ‘We want them to come back and serve the community in same manner as we are doing.’ And the fund-raising? With the political turmoil and the global economic crisis there were obviously worries about the fund-raising. ‘I know it’s difficult’ Khun Wipa tells us ‘but nothing will stop us trying - though we will likely get less support.’ Khun Sue continues; “We realise it’s a difficult time for everybody to cope because of the economic situation.
