How do we begin… •

A Smart City, in partnership with regional municipalities, businesses, utilities and educational institutions, announces a new economic development initiative that invests in the economic health of our region.

A major catalyst for a successful Smart Communities Initiative is for a Smart City to ask their electric utility to analyze and implement Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), of which Smart Meters is a main component.

In Texas, state law can be clarified to address the regulatory treatment of AMI infrastructure.
