Creative October is a month long initiative about celebrating and developing the creative sector in Nottingham. Nottingham is home to an abundance of creative talent and Creative October is an opportunity to witness some of that talent. There is plenty going on in October ranging from a Local Designer Markets at Nottingham Contemporary, Gamecity, The British Art Show, Hockley Hustle; a music and creative arts event throughout Hockley, Oxjam; a local music and creative arts festival on Derby Road and Canning Circus, a Celebration of Style in the Exchange Arcade, a week long design trail of past Creative Business Award winners, workshops, exhibitions and talks.
