While the use of blockchain is used in certain applications in food and drink today, in a lot of cases, this relies on manual transcription of data, that still leads to the possibility of transcription errors and is open to abuse of the data that is being protected.

What we are doing at Roehill springs is taking that one step further, working with partners TrackGenesis and CENSIS. We are integrating the latest sensor technology with blockchain to automate the process of generating secure batch and production information that gives us complete transparency and trust in the data we are providing the consumer at source. We are removing the human element of the process of inputting data into the blockchain and can confidently ensure we can track quantities of ingredients that are used in our production processes. Initially piloting on our spring water capture process but scaling up to other areas.
