‘Dealing in Excellence’ Part IV

A Universal Friend Summer Selling Exhibition 2017

Welcome to my fourth annual catalogue which once again coincides with my Summer Selling Exhibition. I have gathered together a specially selected collection of furniture and works of art from the 17th century through to the 21st century. As you are aware my taste is quite eclectic and so the pages before you reflect my interest in good design, whether it be decorative or functional. The theme for my summer event encompasses the fact that just about everything I acquire and sell, is A Universal Friend. These pieces have passed through so many hands throughout their lives, and have been loved and cared for by so many people. We are merely custodians and are just one link in the history of such pieces. All the items on these pages will be on display at the exhibition including some beautifully created pieces of contemporary silver. The workmanship is truly inspiring and proves that good craftsmanship can still be found today. I hope you enjoy the selection before you, and equally hope there may be something to tempt you to become the next custodian in its history!

With kindest regards, Lennox Cato
