It’s a week at the beach, starting with a giant sand castle, yep we bring in a dump truck of sand. We’ll have super cool pool games, a beach body art air brush station, pool side ice cream floats & hot dog bbq’s, flamingo glow stick wagon rides, hurricane wet wagon rides and awesome movies with popcorn every night. July 15 - 2

It’s Super Soaker Week and we’ve got the most ways to get wet, have fun and be a kid at any age. Pool side we’ll be having cannon balls, belly flops, anything goes and freezie jumps. On our wet & wild wagon rides, it’s an all out war every day between adults & kids. Pool side we’ll be having ice cream floats, bbq’s, bingo & movies under the stars. Every day we have something new & exciting for you. It’s high tide all week!

A Pirates Life Week

They’ll be diving for treasure at shark reef, bingo and a flashlight treasure hunt. Test yer grit in our cannonball competition, landlubbers beware! Dare to be out after dark for our Peter Pan pajama party. Fill yer bellies with yummy sundaes. Aye matey your going to have fun or we’ll make you walk the plank! Aug 4 July 29 -

Holidaze Week

We take the best of all your favorite holidays and wrap them all into one fun filled week. Easter Egg hunts, “Tag” trick or treating, St. Paddy’s sundaes, hoho bingo & New Years at noon. We will also be packing in extra fun with games, wet n wild wagon rides, movies and popcorn & all things fun. - 11

Jurassic Hunt

Cool, scary & fun, it’s dinosaur week! We have “the dig” our version of an archaeological dig,kids get to unearth cool stuff. There’ll also be diving for dinos, bingo, dino flicks, plus lots more fun stuff everyday!

Carnival Country

Bringing carnival & mardis gras to the islands, this week just keeps getting better. Exotic tattoos, gator races, bead games, fat tuesday chili dogs, get swamped & glow stick wagon rides. Who dat? We’re gonna have fun, dat who!

Wild Wild West Hoopla

Even’ns spent on wagon rides, cowboy flicks under the stars with kettle corn, plus wild west bingo. Day’s do’in hilly billy horseshoes (ya use toilet seats), cannonball stand offs at the pool, haystack treasure hunts, seed spit’n contests and dive’n for gold nuggets. For vittles there’ll be a corn roast, baked beans, cookies & milk. t 1

Last Blast Holiday Weekend

It’s the last chance to enjoy the carefree days of summer and we’re gonna take all the best, most fun activities of 2011 and do em all in one last blast of a weekend. There’ll be bingo, movies, tattoos, water wars, bubblegum, Wii wars, bbq & so much more!

Septemberfest Weekend

Oktoberfest? Why wait to celebrate. We’re having a bratwurst bbq , apple pie & ice cream, evening wagon ride with cider, apple bob pool races, movies, popcorn, tattoos & so much fun. It’s the most beautiful time of the year to visit ivy lea, our maple & oaks begin to change Se colour, as well as deer wander the park.

Going to the Dogs Weekend

It’s one big dog party with a hot dog bbq & cupcakes for humans. Dog treats & prizes for the K9’s. It’s a fun filled human/dog activity weekend with our annual Doggy Olympics. There’ll be family/pet portraits, wagon rides, movies & popcorn, bingo, a pancake breakfast & constant fun. $10 of your registration fees will be donated Sept 2 to the Humane Society. 3 - 2

Chocoholic weekend

Chocolate fountains, 30’ chocolate buffet of decadent chocolate deserts, hot chocolate & s’more popcorn, chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, it is everything a chocolate lover could dream of. This is the most enjoyed weekend of the year and all the chocolate treats are included in your registration! Sept 30 - O ct 1

Customer Appreciation Weekend

This is our weekend to celebrate a fabulous 2011 camping season & have fun. Pay for Friday night & with your $10 donation to KOA Care Camps you get Saturday night & all weekends fun filled activities for free. Fallfest Thanksgiving Weekend

It is our last weekend of the year & we pull out all the stops. Saturday we celebrate Halloween with trick or treating, pumpkin bowling & carving, plus site decoration. Best of all is our famous haunted house, it is guaranteed to be a scary fun experience for all Sunday you get to enjoy our great pumpkin catapult chuck, wagon rides & haystack treasure hunt, while we make you Thanksgiving dinner we supply the turkey, gravy, potatoes, stuffing & beans, you bring your favorite potluck dish. It’s totally awesome!

OFF-LEAD DOG PARK

There is an off-lead Dog Park at Collins Bay Marina in Kingston. Take exit 611 to Bath. Right on Bath then left on Covedale (in front of No-Frills). Follow the road to the end and turn left. The park is on the right. Bring poop bags and water. It is open and wooded. Picnic tables and benches. Washroom facilities in the park.

DID YOU KNOW? A boat license, also known as “The Pleasure Craft Operators Card” is NOT necessary to rent a boat. The boat renter will be issued a copy of a “Dock-side Checklist” and will carry this with them on the boat. This “Dock-side Checklist” will serve as a temporary operators card for the duration of the rental agreement. So please come on out and experience the 1000 Islands for yourself. Rent a boat at the many marinas and cottage resorts in the area this season.

Skateboard Park

This fantastic new $100,000 facility will delight all sk8ers and it’s free ! Located behind the tennis courts in Gananoque, it’s just a 10 minute drive away.

Cycling , Roller Blading, Walking 37 km of paved bike path is located right at our front gate. Running along the beautiful 1000 Islands Pky from Gananoque to Brockville with many points of interest, restaurants & scenic views along the way.

Hiking Walk our nature trails. Eco Trail is a 45 minute walk through our ANSI (area of natural & scientific interest) protected area, featuring Lady Slipper Orchids, ravines and mature mixed forests. Hootsie Trail is a 25 minute walk through ponds & ravines, offering beautiful vistas of the 1000 islands. Dogs love it! Both trails are part of the Frontenac Arch Bioshpere Reserve, so please take care!

Boating

Across the road lies the majestic St. Lawrence River & the 1000 Islands. Canoes, kayaks, fishing & pontoon boats are available for rent at Pecks Marina, allowing access to more remote locations for fishing, diving, swimming & exploring.

Live Theatre The 1000 Islands Playhouse is located on the shores of the St. Lawrence. An exceptional range of dramas, musicals & comedies are presented all summer.

Boat Cruises

Rockport Cruise lines offer a unique glimpse of the islands, mansions, lighthouses and an insightful commentary into the areas rich history with tales of love, pirates & smugglers. Greys Beach Mini Park - dogs allowed! 5 minute drive. Grass Creek Park is a staff favorite, it has a sandy beach, picnic area & park. It is a 20 minute drive. Mallorytown Landing - 20 minute drive & Browns Bay - 25 minute drive, they have beach & picnic area. Sand Banks has mountains of sand, big waves & a picnic area, makes a great day trip -1.15 hour drive.

Castles

Boldt Castle on Heart island was built as a monument of love and is spectacular. Explore the gardens, cellars,playhouse, stables & beautifully appointed rooms, all awe inspiring. Singer Castle on Dark island has great architectural features, beautiful furnishings & best of all secret passages.

Historic Fort Henry offers a marvelous reproduction of 19th century military life. Guided tours, military band performances & marching demonstrations by Fort Henry Guard are offered daily. A must see is the spectacular sunset ceremony Saturday & Wednesday evenings. Love forts, check out Fort Wellington.

Day Trips Westport is a scenic 45 minute drive with views of the Rideau Locks, beaches, hiking, shopping & dining. Thompson Park Zoo is only a 45 minute drive to Watertown. All the wonderful animals are rescues that can’t be returned to the wild, it is heart warming. Antique Boat Museum has tours of George Boldts legendary 106’ houseboat, antique pleasure boat displays, boat building demos & thrilling rides on a triple cockpit runabout. Upper Canada Village is a 1.25 hours drive. It is a fun & educational way to step back in time to pioneer life in Canada. Explore and watch demonstrations at the bakery, blacksmith, schoolhouse, see every aspect of pioneer life even horse drawn carts & boats. White water Rafting - on the Black River is a great way to spend an exciting day & enjoy nature. It’s just a 45 minute drive over the border. Ottawa, Canada’s Capital is just 1.5 hours away and an excellent day trip. See the parliament buildings, changing of the guard, meet a Mountie, visit the beautiful Bytown market filled with amazing restaurants & shops, explore world class museums & galleries. See the city on a double decker bus city tours. Merrickville is home to a very large artisan population and the shopping is great! 1 hour drive.
