I hope to become an event planner after I graduate in May, so I am grateful for this amazing opportunity and experience! Amanda Watson has helped me and watched me live my dancing and singing dreams since I arrived at OC. I cannot thank her enough for making my college experience one I’ll never forget! I am so grateful for everyone who supported us through donations, labor and encouragement to help make Spring Sing 2021 happen! This process has been unlike anything we were used to, but it’s happening and I am so grateful. Thank you all for coming and seeing what OC students and staff can do despite all odds!
The Spring Sing Dream Team that Olivia put together has been truly amazing! I am grateful for Olivia, her abilities, her passion and organization. Despite challenges, Olivia, Jacob, Kenzie and Hannah always overcome. I am thankful that my job allows me to work alongside these student leaders.

I am thankful and excited to be a part of making Spring Sing happen! It’s definitely been a unique and crazy year, but that has made me all the more grateful to be involved. I hardly knew what Spring Sing was before coming to OC, but it has become one of my favorite parts of my college experience! I am grateful I got to go to a college that has allowed me to pursue so many goals and passions outside my major of Family Science.

ANSEL JEFFRIES What’s up, y’all! My name is Ansel Jeffries, but everyone calls me AJ. I’m a senior Marketing major from Grand Rapids, Michigan! Music has been in my life since I was a kid, and I don’t see it stopping anytime soon. I’m a member of OC’s New Reign Acapella group, as well as one of the leaders of View 63, our singing chapel. I’m so excited and honored to be a part of this year’s Spring Sing, and want to thank you all for being a part of it too!
C AY D E N ABRAMS Hey, y’all! I’m Cayden Abrams, and I’m from Durant, Oklahoma! I’m a freshman majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Music. I’ve been in love with music since before I could walk, so being one of your hosts is thrilling! In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve been lucky enough to participate in Freshman Fanfare as a host, Songs America Sings and Cabaret 2021. DESTINY BENTLEY Hey! My name is Destiny Bentley and I am a senior Public Communication and Leadership major from Dallas, Texas! Music has been an incredible blessing to my life. I have been a part of the OC Summer Singers for the past three years. I have also been in the OC Chamber Singers, played piano in the Spring Sing band last year and was a hostess in 2018. I enjoy singing, playing instruments and writing both music and literature. I want to thank my family and friends for supporting me and my creative endeavors. WALKER LaRUE Hey! My name is Walker LaRue and I am a junior Sports Management major from Tyler, Texas! I am very excited to have this opportunity! My background is mainly in sports, including two years on the golf team here at OC, but I sang in elementary choir, and I always sing myself to sleep, so I’m qualified. I can’t wait to sing with my talented co-hosts and create new friends! I want to thank all of my friends and family for believing in me as I try out this new experience. TOY STORY When you're miles and miles from your nice warm bed, your fellow freshmen have your back. We stick together and we see it through. We chose Toy Story as our theme because the friendships we have developed the past year will stick for a long time, just like Woody and Jessie’s. Proverbs 17:17 says a friend loves at all times. Our show tells a story about friendship even in adverse times.

We are so proud of our granddaughter, Shiloh Cooksey, pictured here with her fellow student and fiancé, Will Davis. Shiloh is Spring Sing co-director of the club she helped reestablish this year, Lambda Chi Zeta, along with Gracie Davis. Shiloh is a Senior Graphic Arts major at OC. She had experience in high school (Denison, TX) in Musical Theater, Cheerleading, Track, and Varsity Soccer. She attended Harding University for two years before coming to OC. While at Harding, she participated in and helped direct her club, Chi Omega Pi, in their Spring Sing. She also served as a counselor at Camp Deer Run for 4 years. May all good things come for the OC girls of Lambda Chi Zeta and their 2021 Spring Sing efforts! We love you all!
