GOVERNOR'S BULLETIN August
Hey NYDKC! I hope you are all having a great summer! Welcome to the August edition of the Governor's bulletin! Here is what we have been up this past month! We recently have had our Swiftkick webinar on membership retention and recruitment with PNW and it was great! We also just released our first New York Minute of the service year so check that out! We also had a board meeting! Our pandemic response committee have also released some great zoom and google meet guides as well as an example of online elections. We are always here to help! Winners Circle!
On Friday, August 21, the Western New York Maritime Charter School had a service project event where about 150 people went out divided into 12 groups and picked up garbage around and next to the school for about an hour or two. It was a mix of Key Clubbers and other people interested in Key Club. Everyone socially distanced as much as possible throughout the entire event; everyone wore masks, and in the end, they picked up 15 bags of garbage. It was a lot of fun to finally help the community by being there in person for the first time in several months, and it was a great way to kick off the school year! - Division 27
