Nickelodeon helps kids learn to make their own mark on the world. They spearheaded the Big Help and Worldwide Day of Play initiatives, bringing together kids and adults to work on planning service projects, educational outreach, and environmental efforts.
The Hershey Company is a leader in community service initiatives, making a positive difference in the business world. They emphasize corporate social responsibility as part of their company’s global business strategy.
Service Projec Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for children’s hospitals, medical research, and community awareness for children's health issues. Key Club members can help out the organization through participating in local fundraising and service projects.
The March of Dimes Foundation works to improve the health of mothers and babies. For decades, they have partnered up with Key Club to raise thousands of dollars annually for their March for Babies event.
Children: Their Future, Our Focus Make-a-Wish Foundation arranges once-in-a-lifetime experiences for children with life-threatening medical diseases. Wish granters help by facilitating and individualizing the wishes, matching the child’s dream of a perfect day. Key Clubbers help by raising funds to go towards supporting a child in making their wish come true.
The Major Emphasis provides a single focus into which Key Club can funnel its resources and service into in order to make a larger impact. While each Key Club may individually choose to participate in any charity event they wish, all clubs are encouraged to participate in the Major Emphasis.
cts & Partners Kamp Kiwanis provides a fun experience for all children to work together and build relationships. The program strives to promote a non-competitive atmosphere in which children of all backgrounds may build teamwork, leadership, and cooperation skills. They also run a summer program for individuals with disabilities and health impairments.
The Kiwanis Pediatric Lyme Disease Foundation raises funds to help children afflicted with this terrible ailment. Many insurance companies do not pay for the treatment of this disease due to its high expenditure.
The estimated number of babies who die every year from tetanus dropped from 58,000 in 2010 to 49,000 in 2013! This means that today, there are 25 less babies dying every day from tetanus than there were just a few years ago.
The Eliminate Project is a partnership between Kiwanis International and UNICEF to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus from the planet. The goal is to raise $110 million by 2015. This is the final year for the Eliminate Project. They are close to reaching their goal. All they need is YOUR help. Nickolodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play is an annual event designed to encourage kids and adults to get off their electronics and go outdoors. The event took place on September 20, with participants from all corners of the world! Even though the Worldwide Day of Play is over, you can still get outside and get involved in your community!
1943 Key Club goes international! Delegates at the first Key Club convention vote to form the International Association of Key Clubs, electing Malcolm Lewis, the first International President.
1925 The first Key Club convenes in Sacramento, California.
1946 The Major Emphasis Program “Children: Their Future, Our Focus� is developed.
1967 The first Key Club outside of the United States and Canada is chartered in Nassau, Bahamas.

1997 Key Club launches its first website.
1991 The first female International President is elected — Michelle McMillen.
2010 Key Club expands to 30 countries, with total membership of over 250,000 in over 5,000 clubs.
