There are currently only 24 countries remaining with cases of MNT. We are currently at $72M of the $110M goal.
The Eliminate Project is a partnership between Kiwanis International and UNICEF to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus from the planet. The goal is to raise $110 million by 2015. This is the final year for the Eliminate Project. They are close to reaching their goal. All they need is YOUR help. Key Club 101 : What is March of Dimes? The March of Dimes foundation was founded in 1938 by President Franklin D Roosevelt in an effort to combat polio. Since then, it has taken up promoting general health for women and their babies. It is a non-profit organization whose sole mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Headquartered in White Plains, NY, the March of Dimes Foundation has over 50 chapters across the country. It provides mothers, pregnant women and women of childbearing age with educational resources on baby health, pregnancy, preconception and new motherhood, as well as supplying information and support to families affected by prematurity, birth defects, or infant health problems.
Governor’s Project
Key Club 101: What is UNICEF? In December of 1946, UNICEF was founded to help destitute children in Europe after World War II. Ever since then, UNICEF has been committed to serving children across the globe. UNICEF is one of the only charity organizations that works through and with governments and governmental agencies. UNICEF is especially connected with the United Nations, which gives it a distinct advantage in helping children of countries in turmoil. UNICEF’s largest fundraiser is Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, which has raised over $170 million since 1950. A significant amount raised for UNICEF also benefits the Eliminate Project, because Kiwanis International partnered with UNICEF on this project. UNICEF does amazing work all across the globe, so please consider it next time you are holding a fundraiser!

Nickelodeon helps kids learn to make their own mark on the world. They spearheaded the Big Help and Worldwide Day of Play initiatives, bringing together kids and adults to work on planning service projects, educational outreach, and environmental efforts.
The Hershey Company is a leader in community service initiatives, making a positive difference in the business world. They emphasize corporate social responsibility as part of their company’s global business strategy.
Service Projec Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for children’s hospitals, medical research, and community awareness for children's health issues. Key Club members can help out the organization through participating in local fundraising and service projects.
The March of Dimes Foundation works to improve the health of mothers and babies. For decades, they have partnered up with Key Club to raise thousands of dollars annually for their March for Babies event.
Children: Make-a-Wish Foundation arranges once-in-a-lifetime experiences for children with life-threatening medical diseases. Wish granters help by facilitating and individualizing the wishes, matching the child’s dream of a perfect day. Key Clubbers help by raising funds to go towards supporting a child in making their wish come true.
Their Future, Our Focus The Major Emphasis provides a single focus into which Key Club can funnel its resources and service into in order to make a larger impact. While each Key Club may individually choose to participate in any charity event they wish, all clubs are encouraged to participate in the Major Emphasis.
cts & Partners Kamp Kiwanis provides a fun experience for all children to work together and build relationships. The program strives to promote a non-competitive atmosphere in which children of all backgrounds may build teamwork, leadership, and cooperation skills. They also run a summer program for individuals with disabilities and health impairments.
The Kiwanis Pediatric Lyme Disease Foundation raises funds to help children afflicted with this terrible ailment. Many insurance companies do not pay for the treatment of this disease due to its high expenditure.
