CHALLENGING ACADEMICS

ENGAGING PROFESSORS

MORALS AND VALUES

NU is accredited at the highest institutional level. Our classes are not easy, but excellence never is. Our commitment to excellence means that we maintain a very high standard for our faculty members and classrooms. At Northwest, we keep class sizes small. Our expert professors will engage your intellect and challenge you with new ideas. Their doors are open. Their hearts are open. And they’ll become an inspiring and significant part of your university experience.

We set a high standard for our educators. The professors we hire are highly trained experts who enjoy spending time with students. At some colleges, classes are so big that you can’t talk to your professor. At NU, classes are small so you’ll have the opportunity to get to know professors that have years of experience in the industry you’re hoping to work in some day.

Northwest University is a Christian institution built on the values, morals, and ethics of Jesus Christ. It is NU’s mission to provide its students with the moral foundation necessary to engage with the world honorably and professionally.

I’m currently a freshman at Northwest University. I’ve only been here for a month, but I LOVE IT! NU is such a wonderful and welcoming community; I enjoy every day I get to spend on this campus. It has always been a dream of mine to study in the U.S., and I’m really glad Northwest University gave me the chance to achieve my dreams. I was an exchange student at NU in Spring 2019. I looked forward to the American culture but was also worried if I would adjust to the environment well. I was able to learn and understand different cultures through the friends I met at NU. I was also able to make meaningful memories during my time at NU. Although it was only for one semester, NU gave me an unforgettable experience and time because I was able to look back at the life that I have lived and rethink about who I am. Coming to NU was very, very shocking because I was used to a big school and having 400 students in my classes. At the University of Washington, I would go to a class, meet random people, and get so much information without feeling like it was my place or my community. I am thankful I got my MBA at NU because the smaller a school is, the more you get to know your peers. I made some good friends in my MBA cohort. I always say, “People make the value of any place.” I have no doubt and no regrets but rather gratefulness for the community at Northwest University which is so diverse and rich of the most amazing staff that is willing to take the extra steps to adulthood with you. The friends and classmates are some of the best people that have shown me what love really means. I cannot forget to mention the wonderful neighborhood. I have enjoyed Northwest University a lot, and I hope to see you again. BENJAMIN MUK U MBYA, SENIOR, BIOLOGY MAJOR, PRE-MED K AT W E , U G A N DA
