It is NODA elec on me and you should have received your postcard ballot in the mail for the elec on of the Execu ve Board to serve a two‐year term beginning January 1, 2016. Once you have checked off your choices return the ballot to Dale Lappert, our Parliamentarian. Please be aware that six people have been nominated for Director at Large (DAL), but only five can serve. Please vote for five of the six names. I am excited to have some new faces interested in being a part of our Execu ve Board. New people bring new ideas, and new ideas help us become a be er organiza on. Being NODA’s Volunteer Coordinator is just the latest way in which Gail has supported our organiza on. She has always been ac ve and willing to contribute in any way she could. As a member since NODA’s early days, Gail’s contribu ons have been many and varied, even including the artwork for our NODA logo. I bet many of you didn’t know that. Gail has never hesitated to volunteer in any capacity needed. She has helped set up the dressage ring more mes than she cares to remember. Many of you will miss her voice on the phone, diploma cally manipula ng you into earning your NODA bucks by volunteering at a schooling show. Gail isn’t going away; she will con nue to find new ways in which to stay ac vely involved with NODA. I bet you will see her working the paddock or scribing at a schooling show next year.

We are looking for someone who would like to act as a liaison for Western Dressage to NODA. NODA wants to get more involved and needs the input of a Western Dressage enthusiast. If you are interested, please contact our member representa ve, Kathy Kirchner at memberrep@nodarider.org.

This liaison posi on would help educate NODA about Western Dressage, and vise‐versa. We want to offer more to area riders who are interested in Western Dressage. Our membership year begins on December 1st. Don’t forget to renew. You can renew by mail, and also at the banquet on November 21st. Member Spotlight Con nued: Jennifer McLandrich Competes at Dressage at Devon, Clara Etzel awarded TDF Grant Congratula ons to Jennifer McLandrich and By Design (Bene on Dream/Fidertanz) for their impressive results at Dressage at Devon September 29‐October 1, 2015, taking the 3 year old Prospect Reserve Champion (total of his in‐ hand 81.175% score and materiale score 76.000%). By Design was also 3rd in the Great American/USDF East Coast Colt/Gelding Finals. Clara Etzel awarded The Dressage Founda on's, 'Renee Isler Dressage Support Grant' 10/29/2015 TDF Press Release Clara will be using her $500 grant to complete the USDF ‘L’ Program in hopes of building her creden als as a rider, trainer, and judge, as well as con nuing her educa on. "Receiving a grant from the Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund will make it more feasible for me to a end the USDF L Program in 2016. I am looking forward to developing my comprehension of judging Training through Second levels through the L Program. I appreciate all the support of my family, friends, the Northern Ohio Dressage Associa on, and especially the Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund for awarding me this grant."
