a swanky soiree The party was rockin’ on January 30 at the 3rd Chico MS Soiree with over 250 friends, family, and supporters of the National MS Society. The benefit event raised over $5,000 to benefit Walk MS: North State. The fun-filled event featured beer from Sierra Nevada Brewery, wine from Trader Joe’s, and delicious food from Fiesta Taco Truck. Guests moved and grooved to music by San Francisco’s The Brothers Comatose, international artist, John Craigie and Chico’s own The Mondegreens. “The purpose of this benefit is to create MS awareness in the Chico community and raise some money for my favorite charity,” said Amy Temple-Clark, Community Development Manager for the Northern California Chapter. Engaging the community and raising money is more than

a job for Amy, who was diagnosed with MS in 2002. “I am passionate about serving my community, and events like this make it all possible.” This party may be over, but there are still plenty of opportunities to connect this spring. Join Amy and her community at Walk MS: North State (Chico) on April 26 at Bidwell Park. Register today at www.walkMS.org.
