2014 Calendar

National Multiple Sclerosis Society The National MS Society remains the very best investment in finding MS solutions and funding more MS research than any patient group in the world. Your support funds the pursuit of all promising paths to uncover solutions for everyone with MS, wherever those opportunities exist, while focusing on three priority areas:

• Progressive MS – bringing answers and solutions where none exist today • Nervous System Repair – reversing damage to regain function • Wellness and Lifestyle – identifying solutions in diet, exercise and rehabilitation to improve life quality

MS Awareness Week is March 3-9, followed by the MS Summit on March 15. Plan now to attend the event that brings together individuals affected by multiple sclerosis for networking and education in a supportive and social atmosphere. This year’s event will be held at the Country Springs Conference Center in Pewaukee. Visit wisMS.org.

Walk MS April, May and September

Walk MS is the rallying point for the multiple sclerosis Movement – a time when communities come together to raise awareness, raise funds and celebrate how much closer we are to a world free of MS. Multiple walks are held throughout Wisconsin each spring and fall. Visit walkMSwisconsin.org.

Challenge Walk MS September 19-21 It’s as much about the journey as it is the destination. Challenge Walk MS sets a high bar with a three-day, 50-mile walk and a $1,500 fundraising minimum. It rewards you at the same level with an inspirational all-inclusive getaway in beautiful Door County. A two-day, 30-mile option is also available. Visit challengewalkMSwi.org.

Bike MS:

Best Dam August 2 Bike Ride -3

Prove your strength and stamina at the Bike MS: Best Dam Bike Ride, August 2-3, 2014, by riding from the Milwaukee area to Madison with an overnight in Whitewater. You’ll be part of a premier series where cyclists of every level raise money to support multiple sclerosis research. Visit bestdambikeride.org.

Do It You rself Fundrais (DIY) ing

Do It Yourself (DIY) Fundraising is an opportunity for anyone committed to the MS cause to raise awareness and donations in new and creative ways. Several DIYs are noted in the calendar; more are available on the Wisconsin Chapter’s website. Visit wisMS.org and click on “Do It Yourself Fundraising” to find an event or create your own.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. The Wisconsin Chapter supports more than 10,000 children, women and men in the state diagnosed with MS, and those who love and care for them.

MS stops people from moving. We exist to make sure it doesn’t.

Family members and friends connect at the MS Snowmobile Tour each year, where they can ride up to 150 miles a day during an all-inclusive weekend in northern Wisconsin.
