Tenue de Nîmes teamed up with Paolo Bellini, vintage aficionado and founder of the brand CS Bell, to create a unique series of hand-made canoe packs in the Canadian tradition. The backpacks are entirely handcrafted in Amsterdam, made from a heavy 15oz. canvas fabric and thick quality leather. The backpacks are created in the spirit of the outdoors writer Nessmuk, with a design inspired by the traditional canoe packs from Northern America. The exclusive series of canoe packs are available in three different colors: Burgundy, Tan and Olive. Each one of the packs has the text “Handcrafted for Tenue de Nîmes” embroidered by hand on the outer side underneath the main flap. The canvas on each of the packs has been pre-treated with a precise mixture of wax and paraffin to withstand any type of weather. For extra strength and durability the packs have a double layer of canvas at the bottom part of the pack and they are fully water repellent. The shoulder straps are made of a 4 mm thick full grain leather and are fixed to the canvas with copper rivets. The inclusion of a large compartment makes this bag very suitable for a wide range of occasions, but perfect for every day use as well. Founder Paolo Bellini makes every single bag by hand, from design to finished product. He was educated in the leather and fur crafting industries and with his brand CS Bell he now displays his own craftsmanship. A devoted and intrepid adventurer, Paolo collects military vintage clothing. With his vast knowledge of the history and traditional use of canvas and leather backpacks, he decided to bring these vintage style backpacks back to life. The CS Bell X Tenue de Nîmes Canoe Packs are exclusively sold at Tenue de Nîmes for €299,90. They are available in a limited number of 9 pieces, with three packs in each color.
