FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY Under ongoing oversight by a dedicated Board of Directors, Feed the Hunger (FtH) strives for financial excellence in our stewardship of the resources God entrusts to us through your gracious giving. Each and every year, our finances are reviewed by a third party independent public auditing firm. FtH has also been a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability since 1985. Demonstrating the positive financial commitment of this ministry, our expenses have consistently maintained the averages shown for the last five years. We Press On I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14)

A WORD FROM THE CEO Greetings, Partners in the Gospel, The pandemic hit and everyone’s normal routine was changed indefinitely. Lives and jobs were lost. Churches and schools went online. Businesses have gone under with more to follow. As for us at Feed the Hunger, we adapted in 2020, as did our ministry partners worldwide. The spiritual and physical hunger only increased. Bible distribution was up, while food production was down. But that doesn’t begin to tell the story. This Ministry Report is an attempt to share more. In the midst of it all, God did not and does not change (Malachi 3:6). His work will go forth, just as it always has. Neither war, nor persecution, nor famine—not even the gates of hell—can overcome God’s ministry on earth (Matthew 16:18). We were privileged to be used by the Lord once again to produce fruit through your partnership. May this Ministry Report encourage you that lives continue to be changed for His glory. And we look forward with great anticipation to what He will do through you in 2021 as we press on together. Serving with you,

Joseph Williams, CEO

Why We Press “Aasi always knew that God was holy and that everyone is a sinner, but she thought God couldn’t forgive us. She was excited when she was told that even though we are sinners, God loves us and does not want us to die. He wants to forgive us, and this is our chance in life to be saved and follow Him as a child of God. Aasi explained that her father loved her a lot and how wonderful it is to be a child of God, as she knows how it is for a father to love his children.” – Bible distribution partner in Pakistan “I love to know that I am a child of God. I’ll regularly read the Word of God and pray.” – Aasi

“Greetings! I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of teachers and parents to say thank you for providing us with masks and thermo guns. This will really help us to ensure that the pupils and teachers are well protected from COVID-19. Thank you for your continued support and may the Almighty God bless you.” – Michael, Head Teacher Nairobi Language Institute

“Receive my greetings hoping that you are fine. I would like to tell you that like my fellow pupils, I’m so grateful for the masks and the thermo guns that you have provided us with. We can monitor our temperature and cover our mouths and nose in order to protect ourselves from Corona Virus. We can now attend our classes better. Thank you and God bless you for helping us.” – Ester, Student Nairobi Language Institute

“I really enjoyed being a part of the Asia trip, going to India and Bangladesh. Bookending the trip with Mother Teresa’s home and the Rohingya refugee camp was powerful. Mother Teresa’s home was very humbling, knowing these folks had been left there to die. The ladies just begging for a touch made my heart melt. The Rohingya refugee camp was indescribable. Having seen previous videos and testimonies, it still was hard for me to absorb. The overall conditions, from the number of people to the small huts they lived in, were just hard to fathom. Also, the number of other relief agencies working there was tremendous. I was grateful that we were able to give out FtH meals to 1,152 families! God challenged me as we experienced this culture and area of the world as outsiders.” – Marty Helton, Mission Traveler Holy Palace Christian Center (HPCC) in India has started a new piggery and goat farming project. This project will equip local families through business ownership, participation in the marketing chain, and involvement in the HPCC community. The 24 families have been carefully selected to raise the 96 goats and piglets. Animal care support providers will be caring for the health of all the breeding animals during the project. These providers will make periodic and on-call visits to the new farmers’ animals. “The goal is to serve the truly poverty-stricken and marginalized people of the society through quality improvement in employment and thereby better income generation. The total well-being of the family is where Holy Palace can intervene with the good news of Jesus Christ that leads to transformation.” – Johny, HPCC Director

With Your Help We Press On Meghla is a three-year-old little girl in Bangladesh who is very active and loves to play. Because of the pandemic, her parents have had trouble providing nutritious meals for her to eat and have struggled with their expenses. Most days, her meals consisted of rice, mashed lentils, and water. At two years old she became very sick and lost weight. Meghla began receiving Feed the Hunger meals in January of 2020 after being enrolled in our partner’s food program. Since Meghla has been receiving the meals her energy has increased. Meghla is now able to eat three times a day. She is a happy, healthy girl who just started learning the alphabet at home. As part of the program, her mother is also receiving training in health, nutrition, sanitation, and proper hygiene.

FtH food went to eastern Honduras following two catastrophic hurricanes in November. “With the help of US and international partners, food and supplies entered Honduras at LaCeiba and were then staged in the villages of Rus Rus and Ahuas. From there, distribution commenced to the hardest-hit villages by means of smaller aircraft, by air drop, by four-wheel-drive truck, on foot, on horseback, and even by way of dugout canoes. . . . Within days of the first storm, a coalition had formed consisting of eight different ministries from three countries, all with one heart and purpose—to show compassion to those in need after the example of Jesus!” – Sean Donnelly, CEO Missionary Air Group

“I love to eat tasty rice...take my picture!” – Meghla, Bangladesh

“My name is Sophony Fede. I am six years old. I live with my brother, my sister, my parents, and my grandmother at the Coupette Village. I am in the first grade of primary at the Valley of Hope School. It is very hard for us to eat even one meal a day, but now I am receiving the Feed the Hunger meal packages. Now that I eat every day, I feel strong and I have strength to study. I am doing better in school. I am very thankful for this nutritious food that God sent for me and my family from Feed the Hunger. We are praying for you every day so that we will continue to receive the meal package. Thank you so much.” – Sophony Fede, Valley of Hope School, Haiti

PACKATHON

After a strong start to 2020, the coronavirus pandemic forced us to quickly adapt our ministry methods. With abundant caution and adhering to health guidelines, we deployed the Social Distance Packathon as a way to balance safety and productivity. Forgoing our obligations to children’s programs that rely on FtH food was simply not an option. Likewise, our partners in the US and overseas did not and could not stop serving—in fact, the needs have only grown as the pandemic drags on. We praise God that He has let us continue effectively, despite the circumstances! To learn more visit us online at feedthehunger.org/sdpat
